The room the mage lay in is dark, damp, filled with the rustic smell of her blood. Its gloominess is bringing her down. Every part of her body ached. The chains biting into her wrists, cutting her skin, changing them raw.

She is drained from the numerous bites HE took from her. She needs a plan soon. A plan that will make him release her.

Henrietta, the mage, though she had everything under control. Within seconds she would be the most powerful in all five kingdoms. But one woman, only one woman made her well-laid plans go awry.
