23. Surprise
“Why didn’t your roommate came last night?” I turned to Stacy and smiled at the fact she was also massaging her forehead at this moment.
“I guess, she was just shy. She excused herself with stomach pain. Poor Olive.” My friend responded and diverted her attention to our teacher.
I nodded, despite the fact that she would not see it. The spot on my right was empty as Anna was at her internship today. A thought entertained my mind.
“Stacy, do you have any idea why Anna would come to study English literature if she is so much into fashion?” I raised my eyebrows.
She gave me a puzzled look, speechless. I lifted my shoulders, and it was the end of our conversation, as Stacy was too involved with our lesson.

Jason’s strong hands pulled me up on the gorgeous horse. He enveloped me with his arms while holding the reins, pressing his chest to my back. Snow white moved its muscles under us, making me unsure why I agreed to this. I have never ridden a horse in my life. Suddenly, I was too high and too far away from the stable ground.
