“Even if there is no one, we could search for eggs or bake one of the chickens. I can smell them already!” Jason stated, and I shook my head at him with a smile.

“You can’t have all you want, rich boy. They belong to someone,” I informed him the obvious thing.

“Yeah, I can buy this whole place for a fifth of its worth,” he stated cockily.

“You can? Only for fifth, you fucking Scrooge,” I bumped his shoulder just when the door made a squeaky sound and an old man appeared on the other side.

“Um, hi! We are so sorry to bother you, but we got lost. Could you spare a bed...or even a barn to shelter us?” I pleaded with the owner of the house.

He inspected us silently
