Never Ate One

A soft chuckle slipped from Jayden's lips and he soothingly ran his fingers down his cheek.

"This place caters to our community. Everyone here is aware as to what we partake in. This place is meant specifically for us." He soothed his worries before the door was opened by Jamison. Jayden stepped out, offering Ethan his hand. He was pleased when his pet took his hand without question, stepping out of the car.

He shivered as the cool, night air hit his skin and instinctively moved closer to Jayden who wrapped an arm around him. Ethan felt better knowing he would not be the only submissive in the room; he would not feel like he stuck out more than anyone else.

"Just remember to stay quiet, do not speak unless I tell you you can. Stay by my side and do not disrespect anyone, whether they are a dom or a sub. You are to remain respectful at all times." Jayden spoke firmly and Ethan nodded quickly, enjoying the warmth that spread through his lower back as Jayden rested his palm there, guiding him into the building. It was an extremely expensive restaurant filled with people. Some were dressed normally, though most made it clear they were involved in the BDSM community.

Ethan swallowed, moving as close to Jayden as he possibly could as the male spoke to the host.

"Sir..." Ethan trailed off as he felt a few eyes on him. He did not enjoy the feeling, knowing he was much more exposed than he normally would be.

The hand on his back trailed to grip his hip firmly as they were led to a large booth in the corner.

"It's okay, pet. Simply ignore it and focus on me."

Ethan was relieved to hear Jayden's voice as he motioned for him to crawl into the booth. He did so quickly, scooting in until he was told to stop. Jayden sat on the edge, not much of a person who enjoyed being crowded in the middle of a booth.

"Come look at the menu with me." His voice was gentle as he pulled the submissive closer to his side, wrapping one arm firmly around him as he opened the menu. The first thing Ethan noticed when he looked at the menu was how high the prices were. He stared in disbelief, quickly shaking his head.

"I-I can't possibly order any of that...it's so expensive." He spoke softly so no one around them could hear and Jayden raised an eyebrow at him. He studied the prices before rolling his eyes. He was doing his best not to be insulted, understanding that Ethan had not grown up with money.

"Do you think I am poor?" He questioned receiving an immediate shake of the head in response.

"Alright then, it should not be an issue." Ethan bit his lip, staring at the menu. He did his best to ignore the prices like Jayden wanted, but he was finding it extremely difficult.

"Could we share a plate, Sir?" He asked softly, hoping he could save the male money that way. He received an eye roll and then a single nod. 

"So long as you choose something I will enjoy as well." He chuckled, deciding to take it easy on Ethan for the time being. He was aware the boy had grown up with basically nothing. It was only normal that he does not want to spend a lot of money. He watched the male with amusement, lightly stroking his back as he leaned back into the cushions. Ethan seemed to be extremely focused as he read over the menu slowly.

"Jayden!" Ethan visibly jumped, causing Jayden to laugh softly as he looked up to see the familiar red head and Hispanic female from the night at the club.

"Blair, at least someone is on time." Jayden chuckled as he motioned for them to take a seat. Lily scooted into the booth, taking the spot next to Ethan as Blair sat next to her. Ethan gave Lily a small, shy smile which she returned politely. Once again, he noted how the female was wearing much more conservative clothing compared to any of the other submissives he spotted.

"Do you eat crab, Sir?" Ethan glanced up at Jayden nervously as he pointed to a crab platter on the menu. It was meant to be shared between two people and was cheaper than getting two separate entrees. He personally was not sure if he would even like crab, but the photo looked delicious.

Jayden glanced down to what he had pointed out before he nodded, plucking the menu from his hands.

"It sounds great, pet." He hummed as he tugged him into his side. As the waitress returned, he requested a small appetizer as well as some whiskey. He glanced to Ethan, offering him a smile.

"Do you eat salad?" He questioned him. Ethan hesitated before he spoke, resisting the urge to simply shrug his shoulders.

"I am not sure. I never ate one." He admitted.

Jayden's eyes softened and he nodded, ordering two small salads as well as two cups of water. Ethan noticed that Blair also ordered a salad for Lily, not bothering with an appetizer for himself. As the salads were placed in front of them, he stared at his curiously. Jayden carefully added balsamic and a small amount of oil to his bowl before doing the same to his own.

"Taste it for me. If you do not like it then that is fine. However, I want to make sure you keep trying new things." Ethan did so obediently, chewing slowly as he took in the flavor. It was good, though it would take some getting used to. He glanced to Jayden who ate his salad rather quickly, clearly hungry after being late on his usual time.

"So?"

"It's weird in texture but I do like the flavor. I don't like the hard part or the tomatoes though." He nudged the core parts of the lettuce as well as the cherry tomatoes to the edge of his bowl.
