Chapter 3
It was my last day at the hospital, so we were happily chatting with my personal nurse. I didn't need to get a visa because Mommy took care of everything. She had someone get everything I needed, including my school forms for BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, which I was supposed to start this semester and graduate from. I got everything I needed quickly, and I would also be bought new clothes, so I was very grateful for her kindness. Today was the day we were leaving for the USA, where I would start over. So from today onwards, I was fully adopted by Mommy Matilde, and she fully accepted me as her daughter. We were currently on our way to the airport because we were leaving today. We arrived just in time because our flight was called, so we walked straight ahead while her staff carried our luggage. Until we entered the airplane. This was my first time riding this kind of plane, so I was extremely nervous. Until it started to run, so I just held onto my seat. "Are you okay, child?" she asked me. "To be honest, I'm scared, Mommy. This is my first time riding something like this," I said to her. "Don't be scared, because once we're in the air, you'll see beautiful scenery from here," she said to me. So I smiled, even though I was still scared in my chest. Until it started to rise, causing me to hold onto the side of my seat because it felt like I was being lifted from my seat and like I would fall at any moment. While I closed my eyes and recited all the saints I could think of. Until someone tapped my shoulder, so I opened one of my eyes. Then I turned to Mommy. "Look at what's below, child!" she said to me. "Aren't they beautiful to look at?" she added to me. So I immediately opened the other one to see what she meant, I just smiled at what I saw from where I was. All the houses or tall buildings looked small in my view, and they all became level, none were high or low. They were all level in my view from above. "Remember this, child, no one is poor or rich in God's eyes, everyone is equal, so don't lose hope in life, and don't hesitate to bring your problems to the Lord," she said to me. "Every trial He gives us has a reason, there is no trial He gives us that we cannot overcome," she added. "You're right, Mommy, so I'll make this one of my inspirations, you and my future child," I said to her. "Thank you, child," Mommy only said to me, so I smiled at her answer. "I should be thanking you, Mommy, for your kindness," I said smiling. Until I focused my eyes outside the airplane. 'Goodbye to all of you, from now on I'll forget all of you, when I come back, you'll meet a different Rhian,' I said to myself. 'Don't worry, because I forgive you, but you can't bring back the Rhian who cried and was always hurt,' she added. Until I fell asleep thinking. "Child, wake up, we're here," Mommy said to me. "Hmmmm, I'm sorry I fell asleep," I apologized to her. "It's okay, that's how you are when you're pregnant," she said to me. I looked inside the airplane and saw that only a few people were left, so I immediately moved to get our luggage, but she told me that her staff had already gotten it. When we got out, a large sign greeted my eyes. WELCOME TO UNITED STATES AMERICA. 'Child, we're here now, so don't be naughty with us, okay?' I said smiling while stroking my small belly. Until I saw a line of people in suits, it looked like their uniform because they were all wearing the same thing. "WELCOME BACK MADAM," they all said together. So I thought about how rich she was. I saw how they looked at me with a surprised expression on their faces. "Everyone, meet my daughter Rhian," Mommy said to them all. "Hello all, nice to meet you all," I said to them all with a smile on my lips. "Hello too Ms. Rhian, Welcome to USA," they answered, so I smiled at what they said. While we got into a luxurious car, I didn't know what kind of car it was because the seats were long at the end, there was a big bed. Until our ride started, so I immediately adjusted my seat and turned to the window. Our trip didn't take long because we arrived at our place with my child soon after. A man opened our ride, and Mommy got out, so I followed her. You would literally be speechless at what you see, because it wasn't just a simple house, a grand mansion greeted my eyes. 'Child, I can't believe that this is the kind of wealth that adopted me,' I said to myself while stroking my small belly. 'Ma, we're still lucky because someone helped us both, I hope you, child, don't make Mommy suffer while you're inside, okay!' I added, talking to my little angel in my womb. Until we were guided inside the house, it wasn't a palace, it was a mansion. While we were walking, my eyes were busy looking at the plants, because this is what I like most of all, having beautiful plants. I love flowers, but flowers seem to be angry at me because if I plant them, they won't live. Until I saw a beautiful rose, so I immediately stopped there. "It's beautiful," I said in awe, staring at it. I heard laughter beside me, so I straightened myself. "You know, that's also what I craved when I was pregnant, so I named it Angel," Mommy said to me. I smiled at what she said. 'If her child were still alive, I'm sure she would be as kind as her mother,' I said to myself, until I just followed them as they walked.AUTHOR NOTE: Thank you so much for your support and for following my story. Chapter 122 "About the ancient artifacts, Daddy. There are so many interesting things and stories about our history," Gabriel replied, his eyes shining. "That's great! We’re proud of you, kid. You're learning so much," Angie said, hugging Gabriel tightly. "Thank you, Mommy. Thank you, Daddy," Gabriel smiled. As we chatted, we noticed the twins, Danae and Daniel, busy with their drawings. "Wow, those drawings are beautiful! What are they?" I asked, examining their work. "Mommy, Daddy, these are our drawings of the heroes we learned about in school," Danae said, showing off her artwork. "Very impressive! You’re so creative," Angie praised, gently ruffling their hair. After sharing our stories and admiring the drawings, we decided to prepare a special dinner for the family. "Come on, kids, let’s cook your favorite meal," Angie suggested as she gathered the ingredients in the kitchen. "Yay! Spaghetti and fried chicken!" the twins cheered, helping with the preparations. As we cook
Chapter 121 "That's amazing! Good luck with your presentation, son. I know you'll do great," I said, stroking Gabriel's shoulder. "Thank you, Daddy. I'll do my best," Gabriel replied, smiling. After breakfast, we took the children to school and Angie and I went to the office. "Love, are you ready for our meetings today?" I asked Angie while driving. "Yes, Love. We need to make sure everything is in order and there will be no problems," Angie replied, looking at her notes. When we arrived at the office, Mia greeted us. "Good morning, Ma'am Angie, Sir Rocky. The conference room is ready for our meeting," Mia said, arranging the documents. "Thank you, Mia. Let's go, Love. Let's get this day started," I said, leading Angie to the conference room. As we walked to the conference room, I felt the excitement and determination with every step. I knew we had a lot to do and face, but Angie and I were ready to face it all together. After a productive day at the office, Angie and I went h
Chapter 120 Rocky POV As we entered the conference room, the department heads were already there waiting. We immediately sat down and started the meeting. "Good morning, everyone. Thank you for coming. We need to discuss the new security measures we will be implementing," Angie began, looking at the staff. "First of all, we want to inform you that access to sensitive documents will now be limited to authorized personnel only. We also need to enhance the monitoring and reporting of activities in our system," I added, displaying the new policies on the projector. "Yes, Sir Rocky. We will follow the new policies. It’s really important to protect our documents," Mark, the head of the IT department, said. "Thank you, Mark. And we also want to let you know that our door is open for any questions or concerns you may have. Don’t hesitate to reach out to us," Angie said, looking at each person. After the meeting, we returned to our offices for other tasks. While busy with work, I felt my
Chapter 119 Angie POV When we arrived home, Gabriel greeted us with books and notes in hand. "Daddy, Mommy, thank you for being here. I need help with my project about heroes," Gabriel said, excitedly showing us his notes. "Sure, kiddo. We’ll help you," I replied, organizing the materials on the table. As we discussed the heroes of our country, I could feel Gabriel’s enthusiasm and passion for his project. "Mommy, who’s your favorite hero?" Gabriel asked, looking at me. "I have many favorite heroes, but one I truly admire is Jose Rizal for his intelligence and love for our country," I answered, smiling. "Wow, he’s great! What about Daddy? Who’s his favorite hero?" Gabriel asked, looking at Rocky. "Andrew Bonifacio, kiddo. Because of his bravery and determination to fight for our country’s freedom," Rocky replied, gently stroking Gabriel’s hair. "They’re both amazing, Mommy, Daddy. Thank you for your help," Gabriel said, continuing to write his notes. While we helped Gabriel w
Chapter 118 After our chat, we kissed the children and made sure they were comfortably settled in bed. "Goodnight, children. We love you very much," I said, stroking their heads. "Goodnight, Mommy. Goodnight, Daddy. We love you too," Danae and Daniel replied in unison, their eyes slowly closing. Our eldest son, Gabriel, followed us out of the room. We carefully exited so as not to wake his younger twin siblings. Once outside, Gabriel looked at us and smiled. "Mommy, Daddy, thank you for the story. It was so much fun," Gabriel said, holding my hand. "You're welcome, son. You know we love you very much," Angie said, hugging Gabriel. "Thank you, Mommy. I love you too," Gabriel replied, hugging Angie. "Gabriel, you should rest too, okay? You have a long day tomorrow," I said, stroking his back. "Yes, Daddy. Goodnight," Gabriel said, entering his room. "Goodnight, son. Sweet dreams," Angie said, stroking Gabriel's hair before he entered his room. After making sure everything was
