Chapter 23. Clean the barn, an unexpected invitation
"John, the barn is getting to cluttered with junk, clean the junk out and get rid of the clutter" Felicia barked. With Patrick's retirement coming so soon, she wanted everything to be cleaned out thoroughly while her good for nothing son-in-law was here and Patrick was still working. Since his return he has been more compassionate to everyone including the servants. She didn't know why, and she didn't want to. He showered her with his love, and devoted his free time just to being with her and only her.
"Yes, Grandma" John smiled fakely. He didn't know how long more he could bear being belittled but he did know one thing, he loved her. He loved Adrianna with every beat of his heart.
