Chapter 43. Secret Contract

Adrianna woke up to the ringing of her phone. She answered groggily.

'' Adrianna Smith?'', a charming voice reached her ears through the receiver.

''Yes'', Adrianna spoke, muffling a yawn.

''It is Alex, Alex Jenkins from Smiths Corporations. We met yesterday.''

''Yes, I remember'', Adrianna spoke , suppressing the excitement in her voice. She did not want to sound too eager.

''Our CEO has seen your proposal, and it has blown him away. I have made an appointment for you to come in today, at around 12H00pm, is that convenient for you? Alex spoke slowly, letting the words sink in. He hoped that by the time the truth of the CEO is revealed, she would not be shocked and have any regrets aginst their boss.

''I will see you there, thank you''

Adrianna disconnected the call and squealed in excitement.

''Are you ok?'', John asked, feigning curiousity. He knew quite well that Alex had called,everything is going according to plan.
