CHAPTER 5

Diana had never actually had the pleasure of personally interacting with Angelique Mackena. She only knew her by reputation and now that she was in the same room with her, she had to admit her reputation proceeded her.

The brunette model looked sensational in a red satin dress. She was effortlessly beautiful and easily the center of attention.

Most women would be resentful and very jealous of how Angelique easily stole the show and Diana was one of those women.

Angelique may have been a famous top model but this was her wedding day and there was no way in hell Diana was going to let her steal her moment or the attention of her new husband, who had been starring at the model for far too long now.

"Who is she?" Diana asked her husband.

Marcus cleared his throat and finally looked away from the other woman. "Just an old friend." He replied swiftly.

Diana wasn't buying that. "Doesn't seem so old to me."

"I'm going to say hi to her." Marcus announced already starting to walk away from her, but Diana held on to his arm to stop him, so cleverly that the people watching them would never guess he was about to walk away from her.

"I will come with you." Diana told him, her hands on the lapels of his jacket. "I would like to meet your friends."

"Not right now Diana." Marcus tried to get her hands off of him but Diana surprised him by pulling him closer to her, grabbing his head and kissing him senseless.

She was all over him, kissing him like her life depended on it, putting on the show of a lifetime and most importantly, marking her territory.

And of course, Marcus couldn't resist, he kissed back with the same urgency. They were both putting on a show and everyone was buying into it.

"I told you people were watching." Diana's words were a breathless whisper against his mouth. "Now you can go and say hi to your friend."

Marcus didn't know if he should be impressed or alarmed with how good Diana's 'acting' was. To her this was all just a game, a game in which she played the billionaire's wife. He should be impressed a after all her being this good at playing dotting wife would be great publicity, but he wasn't.

He had only known this girl for a couple of hours and already something about her made him nervous. He couldn't predict her moves or motives and he didn't like that one bit.

"I didn't expect to see you here." He said to Angelique as he kissed both her cheeks.

"I had to come," the model said. "Imagine my surprise when I got g****e alerts saying that "Princess Sienna was attending her brother's wedding reception in London". I just had to see it for myself."

Marcus gave her a sympathetic smile. "I'm sorry I didn't give you a heads-up but it was all last minute."

"Well you could have at least rung me to tell me that I'm being branded the woman who got cheated on."

"I can only apologize." How crazy was his life, just yesterday this was his fiancee.

Angelique sighed, sounding resigned. "I suppose the publicity won't hurt." She grabbed both of his hands. "Are you happy, is she going to give you what you need?" Angelique asked, referring to Marcus's new bride.

Marcus briefly looked at Diana who, coincidentally, was looking at both him and his ex. To his surprise she didn't look upset or annoyed, instead she smiled and waved at him before turning to other guests.

"She seems okay," Angelique went on. "Not your usual type but then no one would buy that you cheated on me with someone like me."

"Diana is convenient." That was the best way Marcus could describe his wife.

"She looks very young though, can she handle the public?"

Marcus was pretty confident Diana could handle anything but he was going to admit that out loud, especially to Angelique.

Something about the way Angelique was assessing Diana and asking about her made Marcus believe she was slightly jealous of her. But he didn't understand why someone as successful, independent and beautiful as Angelique would ever be jealous of a dependent and wannabe actress little girl like Diana.
