The bright light of the morning sun woke up Diana. She opened and closed her eyes before fully waking up.
The first thing she noticed was that she was alone in Marcus's bed, he had left her and because she slept like a rock, she couldn't tell when exactly he had left her.
Damn it! What was his problem?

Diana was startled by the middle aged woman in her bedroom, well Marcus's bedroom. How distracted was she by Marcus's absence that she hadn't noticed this woman?
"Bloody hell! You scared me!" Diana shouted but mostly because she was irritated with Marcus and not this woman.
