MasukThe tension in the room was palpable. Everybody had their heads bowed as Tari paced the office.
Face twisted into a deep frown, as she paced to and fro. Two billion in missing funds, gone just like that. And whoever the culprit was, was an executive in the company. And when she catches that motherfucker... Only God will help whoever it is. "Track it, I need to know every account that money went to." She barked. Facing the head of finance. He glanced down, avoiding her gaze and passed her his tablet. "My team found it this morning." He explained, as she snatched the tablet from his palm. Her brows arched together as she stared at the screen. "These are offshore accounts." Tari spoke, swiping through the screen. "Yes. And the culprit is your sister, Mitari. She takes money from the company account in the name of buying tools for the company, but she never actually bought any of those tools. Instead the money has been sent to different offshore accounts in the space of eight months. And ma'am, she has your signature on all the permission slips." The head of the finance department said. Tari's grip tightened on the tablet, her frown deepening. The air shifted. "How dare she." "Ma'am, we have to handle this with caution or you could lose your position as the CEO of Tonla Oil Industries." The head of human resources department said. "I already hired the best lawyers in the country, we just need your signature to proceed with the lawsuit." Another department head said. Tari turned to them. "Drop it on my table, when I come back I will sign it." Tari ordered. Giving the head of the finance department back his tablet. They dropped the files on her desk before hurrying out. She grabbed her car keys, and took her jacket from the hanger before walking out. [Mitari's house] The gateman opened the gate seeing it was Tari. Tari's car screeched into the driveway, and halted with a full stop. She pushed the door open and marched out of the car. Since her biometrics were registered, it was easy for her to enter. The sight that met her gaze were clothes on the floor, but that was the least of her concerns. She heard laughter coming from upstairs, fueling her anger. "Mitari!" She roared, running up the stairs. There was only one goal in her mind, beating the shit out of her twin sister. Tari's steps slowed the minute she got to Mitari's room. The voices she heard were too familiar, she didn't need to see their faces before knowing who it was. Musa Zuma and her twin, Mitari. Tari's footsteps became light, as she approached the door. She placed her ear on the door to eavesdrop. "You always taste better every single damn time, I can never get enough of you." Musa said, sitting at the edge of the bed naked. "I know right." Mitari grinned. She wrapped the covers around her body, and climbed down the bed. Musa grabbed her arm, and pulled her onto his lap. "Musa." She giggled, as he traced kisses down her neck onto her cleavage. "Stop, I need to shower and return to the company. It's been two hours for a thirty minute emergency." Mitari complained, beaming. She pushed his head off gently. Musa groaned. He pulled her even closer so she was sitting directly on top of his crotch. "Musa." Mitari called, adjusting her position, sinking into him as he nibbled her earlobe. "Very soon my love. Very soon, you will be the chairwoman of Tonla Oil Industries and your sister, once I marry her I will turn her into your personal maid." Musa murmured into Mitari's ear, his arm sneaking around her waist. Outside Tari frowned, pressing closer onto the door. "Marry?" She muttered to herself, before placing her ear back on the door. "I can't wait, everything will go as planned this time. I can't keep living as her shadow for another year." Mitari complained, hugging her arms around Musa. "You won't have to wait again. Tomorrow, we will execute our plan with no flaws this time." Musa promised. He pressed a kiss onto Mitari's lips. Their lips parted, tongues fighting when Mitari suddenly pulled away making Musa groan out in frustration. "I have a request." She said, straddling Musa and resting her arms on his shoulders as he held her waist and pulled her closer so their bodies were pressing. "Name it, I will give you the world my love." Musa said. "After the engagement party with Tari, I want to tarnish her image before we execute our plan. I want even my father who adores her to turn his back on her, so when you go to change your betrothed from Tari to me, it won't raise suspicion." Mitari requested. Musa smiled. "You are so smart my love, so fucking smart." Musa spoke. "You know I always love to give you surprises right? Your father already agreed to give me Tari's hand in marriage. Of course, who wouldn't? The youngest billionaire in the country. I will leak her sex tape with that scholarship boy from high school, then we execute the plan. The company becomes yours, her life becomes yours. You will no longer have to live in her shadow anymore. Everything will be yours, even your father's attention and love. The world will see you as my wife and the well trained heir, while your sister will be given many names." Musa promised. "All these years you kept that video. Who would have thought a video I accidentally caught of my sister with a poor boy would be useful after all these years?" Mitari asked. Musa chuckled. Mitari's giggles echoed through the walls. "You always surprise me my love, always fucking amuse me." Mitari said and pressed a kiss onto his lips. "One more round my love." Musa pleaded and crashed his lips onto hers. Outside, Tari's eyes were wide as fuck. She staggered back a few times almost falling off the stairs, her fists were clenched tight till her knuckles were hurting. Her chest heaved up and down, breathing becoming hard as her brows arched. Tears gathered at the corners of her eyes. Her breath was coming out harshly. "Betrothed... betrayal." Her head rang. Everything started coming together, the anonymous messages she had been getting. Warning her to be prepared for what's about to hit, the sudden call from her father to attend a family banquet. Maybe it wasn't even a banquet, no it wasn't! It's her fucking engagement party to that fucker, Musa Zuma. Something she didn't even know of. The embezzlement. This was all a fucking plan. Tari held her head with both hands, pressing like she was holding a broken vase from falling apart. She took a step back again, and accidentally knocked over a vase from the decoration table at the stairs, but before the vase could fall she caught it and gently placed it back on the decoration table quietly. A long pause before an evil smirk appeared on her lips. Mitari and Musa knew how deadly she could be when she was provoked, that was why they've been working in secret. All their secret meetings, she knew of but didn't mind because she never thought it was important. A dry soundless laughter left her throat, a grin spreading across her face. Her dark side. Tari is known as the short tempered one while Mitari is the calm and polite one. Tari's temper is something to always write hell about, from her psychotic soundless laughter, to the way her body bends to the side like she has been possessed. Her eyes were almost red. By now, Mitari's shameless moans were already filling the mansion. Tari crunched her nose, biting her tongue to hold the anger in. Right now she wanted to burst into that room and rip Mitari and Musa into shards but that would be for another day. Today, right now, she was going to kill her father. How dare he betroth her to someone, not just anyone, the person who was planning to ruin her along with her twin sister. And that scholarship boy from high school, she would get him for that sex tape too but that was for another day. Without wasting a second, she turned and rushed out of the house soundlessly. The gateman didn't question her and opened the gate for her. The next minute she was driving at an unimaginable speed on the highway, she wasn't even holding back as she drove like a mad woman. Like she was in an action movie and being chased. One second she was driving like a mad woman, the next second she was falling off the highway with her car into the ocean. It happened in a split second, she didn't even know when a car rammed into hers and she was falling off the highway into the ocean. The car sank fast, shock paralyzed her that she couldn't swim, it was fruitless. The water covered her, as she sank slowly down the ocean with her car. The only thing she saw before she blacked out, was a hammer hitting the window with force.[Same night~Police/ FRSC impound lot / Secure Yard] "Wow!" Maxwell exclaimed, seeing Tari's car that was pulled out of the ocean. "With this kind of damage, there is no possible chance of survival" Stella spoke in disbelief, as she put on her gloves. The car was damaged beyond repair; all the windows were shattered, the hood was compressed into the car. So with this kind of damage, there is no way Tari could have survived, but the question is where is her body? "How bad can the water pressure be?" Maxwell asked. "Extremely bad" Stella answered, touching the open windows. She walked to the front of the car, and touched one of the headlights. "This damage here is definitely from when the other car hit hers" Stella added. They were the two investigators, who had told Mitari about her sister's chances of survival and now they were handling the case. "Hey, come check this out!" Maxwell called. Stella stood up and walked to him. "What am I checking?" Stella questioned. "The window
Tari's eyes squeezed shut and memories of the accident came flooding back. Another round of tears escaped her eyes. Her eyes fluttered open and she gasped out, chest rising and falling at an uneven pace. Loud, raspy breaths left her throat. For a minute or two everywhere was blurry; she held her head and that was when her sight came back. Tears mixed with confusion as she stared at her unfamiliar environment.A shockwave of pain hit her, and she fell back on the mat, hitting her head on the ground when she tried to sit up.She squeezed her eyes, crumpling her face in pain, and held her head tight."Fuck," she muttered. She opened her eyes again, and that was when she realized her hands were bandaged.A frown appeared on her face as she raised her arms up to stare, then touched her head. She felt the bandage wrapped around it."Take it easy, my dear. You've been out for three whole days."Tari swung her head to the side, to see an old woman with gray hair staring at her with a gentle s
