IRIS

I sat there grading papers in silence. I don't know what to say to him. Maybe I pushed him too far. Maybe I don't know what I am getting myself into. I looked up at him and he was focusing hard on his computer screen. "I'm sorry," I said softly but he didn't budge. I started to think he didn't hear me, but he looked up and smiled. "Don't be sorry beautiful girl." He said softly in return. "You aren't wrong Iris. You just don't know the extent of what you are seeing. You don't know what your obvious empathic abilities are showing you." He looked back to his computer. I graded another paper looking carefully at the key. What did he mean by the extent? I could tell he was always in control of his surroundings. I find that sexy. When he grabbed me and put his fingers around my throat I felt a rush I had never felt before. I wanted him to hold me there. I wasn't scared. I didn't think he wanted to hurt me, I could just see how much desire he had to touch me. I could see he wanted to be inside of me. I have never let a man inside of me before. Being a virgin was a point of preference for me because I never wanted to be labeled a whore. My mother walked around our small town manipulating men to get what she wanted. I just did something she would do and now I felt horrible for doing it. "I wasn't trying to manipulate you." I vomited out without thinking it through. He looked up at me again, this time amused. "Iris, You couldn't have manipulated me if I didn't allow you to do so. I could have stopped myself. I could have held my reaction, but at that point, I didn't want to." I heard him but I wasn't sure I believed that. I nodded and smiled looking down to grade the next paper. I only had a few papers left and then I had to run to meet Stephen for the camera. "Is it still cool if I meet Stephen at two to get the camera?" I asked in more of a professional tone. He nodded without looking at me.

"Will you ever tell me what you meant?" I said finally finishing the last paper. He looked up at me concentrating hard before standing to lean against the front of his desk. "I am going to make you an offer." He said finally after staring at me. "Okay, what kind of offer?" I said suddenly nervous. "You want to keep coming after me, and I don't think I can refuse you forever. I know women like you, Iris, once you get a scent of something, you won't let it go until you have dissected and learned everything about it." I nodded because he wasn't wrong. I wanted to be with him, darkness be damned. I have never wanted someone so bad in all my life. "So I am going to give you an offer. A small explanation, and then you can take real-time to decide what you want to do." He said smiling almost wickedly. I realized at that moment he thought he was going to scare me off this time. This made me more nervous. "I don't practice regular relationships, Iris. I want you to listen to me before you judge or before you run away." He said watching me probably shift nervously in my chair. He sat down in the chair beside me pulling my chair to face him. "I am a dominate. Do you know what that means?" he said watching my reaction closely. I was confused. "Like Christain Grey?" I said that was the only time I had heard that term. He laughed. "No sweet Iris, not like the fictional Mr. Grey." I gave him a dirty look. I am not as innocent as he thinks, and it's irritating. "I do have rules. There are punishments. I do like to have control. I am not a sadist. I would never hurt you. I want to take care of you. I want to keep you happy, healthy, and well-pleasured. There are rewards as well. I do enjoy bondage. It's a special relationship. I can teach you." He continued, staring into my eyes. I felt my breathing increase. I was more excited than scared, or nervous. "That sounds like Christian Grey to me," I said rolling her eyes at him dramatically. "Fine, it's something like him, but that is a story. This is reality." He growled. "You growled at me," I said shocked. He leaned closer to my ear and growled again, "You rolled your eyes at me." I felt my whole body break out in goosebumps. "I want you to be mine," He said sitting back up. I sat there quietly for what felt like hours when it was probably only 15 minutes. "Can I think about it?" I asked quietly. He was right before, maybe this was too much for me. "You can sweet Iris, I want you to," He said scooting closer to me. "I want you to be mine. I want you to be my baby girl. I want to take care of you in every way, while you follow the rules, and take care of me. I didn't think I could, but I do." He said running his fingers down my cheek.

"Babygirl?" I asked again confused. "I call my submissive my baby girl. That's a preference of mine. I like to be called Daddy." He said which instantly turned me on. What the hell is wrong with me? "Daddy is a term of endearment for a father, but not to me. My father was a sir, his father was a sir. There is nothing sexier to me than for a woman to look at me in throws of passion and say "Yes, Daddy." " He said noticing my confusion. I took a deep breath trying to refocus my mind. "Daddy?" I said in a questioning shy voice. The words coming off of my lips did something to him. He grabbed my chin and pressed his lips to mine, kissing me hard. I parted my lips letting his tongue in to explore. He pulled away, and I was left wanting. He looked at me seeing me breathless. "Are you okay sweet girl?" He asked placing his hand softly on top of mine. "I am okay, just trying to wrap my head around all of this," I said looking down at his hand. I wasn't freaked out really, still mostly confused. "You can ask me anything you want, the most important part of this lifestyle is trust," He said running his thumb over my hand. "What if..." I said, realizing he was talking about sex. Is he forgetting I am a virgin? Did I tell him that? He reached for my chin turning my eyes to his, "What if?" he asked. I looked at him my eyes darting back and forth searching his eyes for an answer to a question I hadn't asked yet. I let out a sigh before blurting out, "I am a virgin Ryker." He smiled at me and took a deep breath before answering, "If you want to be mine, you can stay a virgin for as long as you want to be. There are other sexual things we can do, and I will take that part as slow as you need me to."He said seeming surprised by his own answer.

I smiled at his words. "I will think about it. I need to know about rules, rewards, and punishments. Can I disagree? Is the safe word a thing? Do I stay with you, or at my dorm?" He put his fingers to my lips, "Slow down." He smiled at me. "I will send you an email with all the information you need. I will need a personal email, as I don't think this is a school-appropriate subject. I will give you as long as you need to think about it." I nodded in agreement. I was suddenly excited to get the email, but nervous at the same time. This is what I wanted right? I pushed him today to show him his desires, and he must have realized them fully. I don't think it was his first idea to give me this offer. I don't know if I am someone to sit and take orders. I will have to read and learn fully about this relationship type and see what it means. I decided to stand and get ready to go to meet Stephen. He looked up at me with a concerned look in his eyes. "Are you okay Iris?" he said standing up with me. "Yes, I am actually very okay." I smiled at him. Every time I looked at him I knew I would accept his offer. I wanted him to touch me. I wanted to call him Daddy. I wanted to kneel for him or whatever it was he preferred. He reached for my cheek and I closed my eyes. "You should probably go think some on this Iris. Sleep on it. Don't rush to decisions, because it feels good. Do you promise?" He asked but I didn't open my eyes. "Uh huh" was all I could say. "I am going to send you home. You will receive your email shortly okay?" I pulled into him laying my head on his chest. "Uh Huh." He wrapped his arms around me and whispered into my ear. "If you were already mine sweet Iris, I would swat your ass for not paying attention to me." I swallowed hard instantly feeling a pulse in my panties, damn. I looked up at him slowly subconsciously licking my lips.

At that moment, I knew I was already his.

IRIS I swallowed deeply when I heard the name. That man was terrifying. Claud. Flashes of the wicked smile he had on his face when abusing me were stuck in my mind. He wanted to hurt me. I looked from face to face, looking for answers in their eyes. No one said anything. Theo reached over for my hand, and I saw Ryker flinch when I took it. I was terrified. I didn’t care whose hand I held if someone was keeping me safe. Deacon was on the phone immediately asking the guys in security to trace and follow the call. Theo pulled out his phone as well, calling his contact to find out what he could do from his side. I closed my eyes. “Tell me where you are mother fucker, don’t be afraid, I wanna chat.” Ryker sounded murderous. I closed my eyes and focused on my breathing. I felt tears burning in my eyes, but I wasn’t sure if it was from fear, anger, or sadness. I had a mixture of them brewing inside of me. “Ryk?” I said softly looking up at him. He calmed. Instead of cursing into the phone he

IrisThe darkness in his eyes when I asked him about his name told me more than his words did. “Its my last name.” He was short and stern with his response, but his eyes told me the most. Lorcane was like his shadow person, the darkness inside of him. The person they all see as dangerous. The one who was violent and cold. Lorcane was someone I have only seen pieces of. He is a prosecutor, but I am starting to think at this point he also played executioner. What I wasn’t sure of was if he still played that role. A lot of what I knew about him, the powerful, well managed, prosecutor turned professor was not who I thought he was. Not as disciplined. Not as in control. “I am not an idiot Ryker.” I said winching as I tried to sit up straight. “I know you aren’t Iris, but I also know I don’t know everything about your past.” His words burned some. His emotional state when he walked in had now turned. He was now defensive and guarded. I am sure he has questions about me, I know he is wonderin

RykerI listened as Deacon talked but the world was spinning around me. I had downed more of that whiskey bottle, and the last one, than he knew. Way more than I was willing to admit to. “Ill drive.” I said, grabbing my keys, knowing inside that I shouldn’t do that. That was the good thing about Deacon. He worked for me, yes, but he also knew how to stand up to me. Not a lot of people did that. He was one of the very few that was permitted to do so. I shook my head when he reached for my keys. “I want her to know that it is me coming for her.” I said in a drunken stupor. I sounded like an idiot. Emotional and irrational. I didn’t know what real love looked like, not loving a woman like this. I believe I have loved before. I thought I loved Ivy at one point. I know I love Deacon, like family. This love was messy, hard, and could destroy me in an instant. It made me open, raw, and vulnerable. Deacon was looking at me differently. I don’t think he was losing respect for me; I think he was

DeaconHe didn’t speak all the way back to the city. He didn’t want to. He decided to leave Iris at Ayden’s clinic, and not give her a chance to say anything. He wants to keep her safe. I disagree with him, horribly, but he will not listen to me. I can't say anything. It isn't my place to do so. He went straight to his house shutting the door behind him. The lights were still off. He hadn’t even turned on a lamp. I knew he was sitting in the dark, drinking his whiskey, and sulking in there all alone. I stood outside the security building and stared towards the house. Part of me wanted to go check on him, but part of me knew better. He wouldn’t even answer the door, I am sure. I stood there, leaning against the brick, watching for any movement. My phone dinged taking my attention away from the front door. I reached in my pocket and pulled it out. Check on her. Make sure she is okay. Let me know. -LorcaneHe hadn’t addressed himself as Lorcane in a long time. He was in a very dark plac

IRIS The lights burned my eyes, bright and surprising as I tried to open my eyes. I closed them multiple times trying to adjust to the lights. I couldn't hear anything but machines running around me. The sound of air blasting somewhere and beeping, so much beeping. My head felt like it was going to explode. I heard mumbling, angry mumbling, in weirdly hushed voices. I tried to speak but felt like something was choking me. I tried to move my arms, but someone was holding them down. Tears started to sting my already burning eyes. I started to breathe harder, and the beeping got louder. I felt a hand on mine, and I slightly turned my head. “Iris, calm down. Please, baby, you have to calm down.” Ryker was talking to me softly, bending over now to look into my eyes. He wiped a tear away from my eyes. I blinked twice, like I had seen on television medical shows, to let him know I couldn't calm down. I needed to know what was going on. I needed to be able to speak. “Iris, you were sho

RYKER I watched as she fell to the floor, the color leaving her face almost instantly. I heard someone scream but it sounded as if it was coming through a tunnel. Echoed, and mumbled. Deacon ran to her as I stood frozen. My side burned some, but I couldn't pay attention to that. What was probably only a few seconds felt like hours while I waited for her to open her eyes. “Iris? Keep your eyes open.” Deacon talked to her calmly. I stood there willing my legs to move. “Ryker, call an ambulance.” He yelled at me; I knew what he was saying but I still couldn't budge. He stood up, walking towards me, the closer he got the blurrier he was. He hit me hard, open handed across the face. “Ryker, snap the fuck out of it! I need your help.” He begged. He was shaken, but still calm. Deacon was great under high pressure. I usually was too. I don't know what has happened to me. This woman has changed my whole being. I walked over, suddenly more conscious, but still panicked. I kneeled down beside I
