Chapter 3

Author: Alyssa J
I thought packing would take hours with so many belongings, but I finished quickly.

The gowns Kane had once chosen for me, the ones he said suited me perfectly, were now soaked with muddy water.

The maps Liam had drawn while we explored the mountains together lay torn to pieces.

In our group photos, my face had been crossed out with red marker.

I threw everything into the furnace without expression.

Kane came downstairs with Serena just as the flames consumed the last of my things.

Shock flickered across his face. "Those belong to the pack! What gives you the right to waste them?"

I replied flatly, "I'll pay you back."

Serena's sweet voice filled the silence. "Kane, let's go to Star-gazing Cliff."

"You promised to show me the 'Wolf Heart' constellation."

My hand froze at the mention of Star-gazing Cliff.

That was Kane's secret place. He had taken me there when I first arrived at the pack to comfort me.

He had pointed to the brightest star in the night sky and said, "Ella, remember, this is our secret alone."

"As long as the Wolf Heart keeps shining, you'll always be an irreplaceable member of the Moonshade Pack."

Now he was taking someone else there.

I finally understood. The girl who was once his "only one" had been completely forgotten.

Kane's eyes met mine for a moment. Something flickered in them - guilt, maybe regret.

They walked past the furnace where my memories were still burning. Serena glanced at the flames with satisfaction.

"It's so nice when people finally clean up their messes," she said sweetly.

Kane didn't respond, but he didn't correct her either.

As they disappeared into the hallway, I heard Serena's cheerful chatter. "I've always wanted to see the stars with you. Will you teach me about all the constellations?"

Kane's voice drifted back. "Sure. I know them all."

I stood there watching the last of my belongings turn to ash.

After the incident at the bridal shop spread, all vampire nobles were furious. The vampire elder council convened an emergency meeting overnight. Some proposed sealing the werewolf border immediately.Eleanor suppressed her rage and said only one sentence: "Don't act. This will ruin Ella's good mood before the wedding."Damien's mother also intervened, saying they wouldn't pursue it for the sake of my adoptive care of Mara years ago.But there was one condition: from now on, Kane and Liam were forbidden from stepping into my life.Security received orders - if either was spotted approaching, they were to be expelled immediately.I returned to tranquility.Trying on the wedding rings, planning the reception, selecting blood clan protection circles for after our mixed-blood child's birth - everything went smoothly. But I had forgotten about Serena. That day after finishing our wedding photos, Damien and I sat in the car leaving the studio. We had just pulled out when a figure suddenly ru

  • Leave Alpha Twins, Marry Vampire King   Chapter 8

Damien walked into the bridal shop in a black noble suit, his movements swift and precise. Seeing me in the thin wedding dress, he immediately removed his coat and draped it over my shoulders - he knew I got cold easily, that my human constitution couldn't withstand the chill.Kane and Liam's faces instantly changed. Their wolf eyes turned red with instinctive hostility. Before Kane could speak, Damien had already pulled me behind him, his voice cold and deep:"The lady of the vampire royal family doesn't need your pity or charity. She's marrying me because I will protect her to the end, while you only made her wait."His hand was warm, clasping mine tightly.I squeezed back, meeting their eyes directly, my voice calm:"Did you hear that clearly? I have a family now. I won't revolve around you anymore. I'm marrying Damien seriously, willingly."Damien seemed prepared for this moment. From his inner pocket, he took out a velvet box - a dark ruby engagement ring set in black gold, engra

"Ella, are you really going to marry a vampire?"Kane stood before me, his voice trembling. It sounded exactly like when he was sixteen, standing under the silver ginkgo tree in the forbidden forest, saying, "I would trade my Alpha heir position for your lifelong safety."I didn't answer.I just lowered my head to stroke the evening primrose embroidery on my wedding dress - my favorite flower as a child. He once said he would plant them throughout the entire forbidden forest for me. He never did. When Serena came, he gave her an entire valley of flame flowers."Stop pretending!" Liam stepped forward, his voice fierce, wolf claws half-extended. "You're human - do you think Damien would really marry you? You're just trying to provoke us! I won't fall for this trick again!"But his eyes were red-rimmed. Just like when we were seven, playing house. I wore mother's white dress as the bride, and he and Kane fought over being the groom. When he lost, he crouched in the corner, crying so ha

Just outside the Alpha territory, a convoy of black cars was already waiting at the border. No pleasantries - they escorted me directly into the border. Damien's family territory was imposing and ancient, with a dark river flowing beneath black stone walls that never froze.Eleanor, Damien's grandmother and a vampire elder, smiled the moment she saw me. She personally slipped a moonstone bracelet onto my wrist, its lunar patterns gleaming with cold light against my skin."Elder, this is too precious." I instinctively tried to refuse."Call me Grandma," she interrupted with a smile in her red eyes. "You're already Damien's wife. You now rule half of the entire vampire territory. A bracelet is nothing."I froze. Those words sounded so familiar.Years ago in the Alpha castle, Kane and Liam had stolen Mara's wolf clan bracelet to give me, their faces red as they said, "This is the future Luna's token."When Mara discovered it, she wasn't angry. She smiled and put the bracelet back on me.

My stomach still ached as I dragged my luggage downstairs at dawn, ready to leave the Alpha family territory. Serena sat at the breakfast table, holding a bowl and smiling at Kane. "Kane, this is moonlight elixir I brewed this morning. It enhances strength. Your wolf will love it."Kane accepted the bowl and gently touched her forehead, his voice tender. "Thank you. You're always so thoughtful."I gripped my suitcase handle tighter. I had brewed that same moonlight elixir every single day for three years. He had drunk it and said, "My wolf loves Ella's brew the most." But after Serena arrived, he never touched mine again. He said, "Hers is warmer, with more stable energy.""Ella, why are you still here?" Liam pushed through the door. Seeing my suitcase, he frowned. "Throwing another tantrum? Want Serena to apologize? Dream on.""I'm just leaving." I moved toward the door."Wait!" Serena shot up from her chair, clutching an empty leather folder. Her face was pale. "Ella, the border t

  • Leave Alpha Twins, Marry Vampire King   Chapter 4

I was about to turn and leave when the cold, damp wind swept through the corridor. Kane and Liam, the two Alphas who had once treasured me like a precious gem, no longer had room for me in their heart. It didn't matter anymore, I thought. I was no longer that little girl who couldn't live without them either. As I reached the doorway, Serena suddenly returned, carrying a steaming cup with purple berries clinging to the rim."Ella, are you leaving?" Her voice was light and cheerful as she offered me the cup. "I heard you like sweet berry drinks. I had the kitchen make this specially for you."I stared at the glistening layer on top - energy honey that wolves used for stamina. Humans couldn't drink it. Even touching it would cause stomach cramps. I was about to speak when her hand "slipped," and the entire contents splashed across my chest. The scalding liquid soaked through my clothes. A few drops slid down my collar, exploding into searing pain in my stomach. I groaned and instinctive
