Sera's POV

I didn't listen another second. I ended the call and blocked the number immediately.

I walked to the window. The polar night in Frost Pack was finally lifting, the first faint streak of light spilling slow across the icy horizon.

  • Leaving My Alpha in Spring   Chapter 11

Sera's POVI didn't listen another second. I ended the call and blocked the number immediately.I walked to the window. The polar night in Frost Pack was finally lifting, the first faint streak of light spilling slow across the icy horizon.Thankfully, I'd broken free. Some time later, I heard the final ending for Corbin and Vera through an old classmate. After Vera's true colors were fully exposed, Corbin was crushed—and cut her off completely. Refusing to accept defeat, Vera tried to cling to him, even crashing the Wren Pack elder council to make a scene. She was escorted out in total disgrace. The Wren Pack made it clear they would never accept a scheming, troublemaking wolf who'd torn their territory apart.Vera latched onto the Alpha she'd been seeing on the side next, but he'd only been playing around. He grew bored quickly and dumped her. Her reputation was ruined. Word was she'd slunk off to some remote far-off territory. No one cared to track her after that. And Corbin? He

  • Leaving My Alpha in Spring   Chapter 10

Sera's POVI said my piece and didn't linger. I turned on my heel and strode away. This time, I didn't look back. Whether Corbin still stood there, whether he regretted it, whether he hurt—none of it mattered to me anymore. My new life was just beginning. The days that followed were fuller and freer than I'd ever imagined. I poured nearly all my energy into healing work for the Frost Pack. My already strong healing abilities, sharpened by single-minded focus, quickly caught the eye of the pack's head healer. I earned my official healer's certification and began taking patients on my own.My days filled up steadily, and color returned to my cheeks little by little. The old Sera, the one who'd faded and dimmed, was slowly dying. In her place stood a stronger, more independent, confident, and alive version of myself. My parents sent worried messages every now and then, hinting gently about my life and encouraging me to "keep an open mind if someone suitable comes along." I always laughe

  • Leaving My Alpha in Spring   Chapter 9

Sera's POVSame old lines.Threats, put-downs, trying to break me into submission. I stared at Cordin, and suddenly realized he—for all his good looks and Wren Pack Alpha status—was hollow, arrogant, and foolish to his core."I don't need you worrying about my life," I leaned forward slightly, gaze locked steady on his. "Corbin, I didn't come here to hear empty promises. I'm here to end things between us cleanly, with dignity. I suggest you stop clinging to what's gone.""Otherwise, every messy detail between us—including proof of how far you crossed the line with Vera—will become permanent evidence that could destroy your claim as Alpha. Think carefully.""You... you dared to spy on me?!" Corbin shot to his feet, his face darkening with rage. "Sera, you're twisted! I never knew you could be this conniving!""Conniving?" I let out a sharp, cold laugh. "Compared to Vera's underhanded tricks? This is just self-defense. Corbin, don't waste any more of my time."His chest heaved violently

  • Leaving My Alpha in Spring   Chapter 8

Sera's POVEvery word I spoke cut like a blade, merciless and sharp. Vera froze solid, raw fear surfacing clear in her eyes for the very first time. She parted her lips, yet no sound escaped—she only stared hard at me, her frame trembling faintly. After that, I walked calmly back into my house.I knew Vera, Corbin and I were now locked on opposing paths with no way to turn back. And in this fight, I'd only just seized the upper hand.Back inside my room, I twisted the deadbolt shut and drew a deep breath.I crossed to my desk and carefully filed away the photograph. My phone lit up with a fresh message from my private investigator:[Sera, new intel has surfaced. The target Alpha and Vera Marsh have met constantly these past few days, at the healing wing, the diner by Moonveil Lake, and Vera's private residence. Photos and records are sorted and ready to send whenever you need them.][Additionally, I've uncovered several records concerning Vera Marsh's past...]I scanned the investigat

  • Leaving My Alpha in Spring   Chapter 7

Sera's POVOn a night buried in the polar dark, I'd stayed late at the Frost Pack library going over healing records. I was only heading home when a figure lunged out of the shadows beside my door and blocked my path.It was Vera. She looked thinner, her eyes red and swollen, wrapped in a white cloak that made her seem even more frail and breakable."Sera..." Tears spilled down her cheeks before she even spoke, her voice shaking. "I'm begging you—please don't leave Corbin! It's all my fault, every bit of it! I shouldn't have let him take care of me, I shouldn't have relied on him so much...""I know you're angry, I know you hate me. You can hit me, yell at me, anything—but please don't leave him! He loves you so much, he hasn't slept through the night in days... You two fought so hard to be together. How can you end it over me?"She wailed loudly enough for the whole neighborhood to hear. Curious, judgmental stares bore down on me at once. She'd picked the time and place perfectly, st

  • Leaving My Alpha in Spring   Chapter 6

Sera's POVI didn't wait for Vera to screech another word. I hit end call, then blocked her number entirely. Finally, blessed silence. The showdown with Corbin, the brutal truth-laying with Vera—they'd hit like two doses of harsh, necessary medicine. The last foggy, confused fragments of my heart cleared completely, hardening into unshakable resolve. That peace only lasted a few hours.By dusk, my phone blew up again from an unknown caller ID. I answered, and Corbin's voice exploded through the line—raw with suppressed fury, a dangerous tremor cutting through his growl."Sera! What the hell did you say to Vera? She cried so hard she passed out! She's in the healing room right now! The medic said her wolf went unstable from extreme emotional distress! Do you want to drive her straight to her grave?!"I almost laughed out loud. Vera's acting skills just kept getting better—from fake sobbing all the way to "fainting spells." Perfect cover. It'd win her every last drop of Corbin's pity and
