Lila should have known that her mom was capable of blackmailing her, but she never wanted to think that she would resort to it. She was basically saying that Jared had what it took to save Levi, and he would only do it if she got engaged to him.

"Never in a million years," she screamed in her mom's face and stormed out of the house. Lila did not have a plan, but she was not going to allow her mom to walk all over her for no reason.

The next morning, she wanted to talk to someone and explain, but Jasmine was busy with work, and Beth and her family were away on a trip.
