AUDREY'S POV No one told me what was happening. They were all acting like I didn't exist. Person after another , they entered a room and continued having discussions with each other while in my presence. They seemed to be moving Alpha Hercules belongings. But no one spoke to me. I know that I truly wanted them to say anything but at this point I was waiting for death and it was taking a little too long. If the Alpha wanted to kill me why wasn't he doing it right now? When there was a golden opportunity to leave my corpse in this Pack other than carrying it with him? We had learnt my entire life that I was nothing more than a birthday. a limitation to the excellence and perfection of this life. and now I was ready to go full so ready to die in the hands of the man who was supposed to be loving me. Was that not ironic? To me it was not. because my parents who are supposed to take care of me and love me had left me abandoned while I was a baby. stopping my entire life and dictated that
The journey back to the AirPack had not been Pleasant. Alpha Hercules had been barking orders at the slightest inconvenience this caused. The Warriors had tried their best to get out of the Alphas' way and ride at the back of the crowds with Martin While Audrey rode among the Warriors. Hercules wanted to have his mate by his side. Even though he was irritated by her status, having any other man handle her is what he wanted gone from his mind. but he could not do anything about it. because at the end of the day he did not want any of his Warriors or his citizens to know that his mate was a worthless servant.‘’ you understand the severity of the situation don't you?’’ Martin had been quiet before his Alpha asked that question.‘ yes I do Alpha.’’‘’ I expect that you will keep this between the both of us.’’ it was not a request. Even though Hercules had said it as lightly and politely as possible it was a command that Martin was more than obliged to follow. not that he would ever com
ALPHA HERCULES I don't know why I did that. She's not important to me. I don't even like her. she is an insult to my status and yet I had to turn it to my reputation by punching one of my Warriors in her name. what the heck had gotten into me? why had I felt the humiliation to my cell when she fell over and they laughed at her. I had almost torn apart every one of them. the emotions that have been burning inside me at that moment made me feel like control was just a vocabulary. she was making me vulnerable yet again. She was making my control impossible.“ get me Martin.’’ I command immediately I walk into the throne room. the guard at the door nodded his head and immediately left my presence. I was exhausted. not only emotionally but also physically. sitting on the big throne in front of me I start to think about the events of today. everything had happened so quickly. it had only been the previous night that I met my mate in the woods and now I had her in my back but she turned o
AUDREY'S POV This must have been the guest bedroom or maybe where the Citizens of this pack resided. It was beautiful and luxurious. The interior looked so expensive. almost like the quarters where Alpha Brandon and his family slept in. I had seen it once while I was given cleaning Duty and I've never forgotten about how the place looked. It was so dreamy. one could easily fall asleep in those warm comfy beds and not want to wake up. I could not stop thinking about my mate. about what has gone down between us. He hated me. He was disgusted by my presence and who I was. I should have expected it. I shouldn't have expected anything different. He is an Alpha for crying out loud and the world wasn't going to change overnight. everyone else viewed me as a servant girl. Why was he going to be any different? When he had punched the warrior who laughed at me earlier my heart had flickered with hope that inside his heart was the possibility of accepting me. but I should know that dreams
He had barely slept the previous night. Hercules was shivering so much that he almost felt his bed was filled with ice. It was strange. He'd never felt anything like it. somehow he assumed that it was because of the issue at hand. Was that really it? had Audrey Peterson become such a problem that she couldn't find any sleep? of course she was. But when he did get little sleep, Audrey asked a recurring question. Why do you choose to hate me? Why do you choose to hate me?It had driven him mad. He didn't like to be the one feeling vulnerable. He did not like to be the one feeling broken. He was a man of power. Used to being in control. But the idea of another person taking over his heart did not sit right with him. Especially if the person was nothing more than a worthless servant in his opinion. When the sun Rose and its rays pierced through the curtains of his room, he had already been up and dressed. Hercules opened the door and found his father standing right at the other side
Hercules immediately left the throne room, his aim was to find the Servant quarters and have a slight conversation with his mate. He still needed to dictate the rules to her. not only as a servant but also as a submissive mate. it was out of the question. He was not going to compromise submission for anything. casually he noticed Agnes watching him from the top of her house. She had a beautiful balcony that he had set up for her and she lived in a reasonable home other than the other pack citizens. She was well off. Hercules cannot remember the last time he came into the Servant quarters. He hates the place. it's usually so tiny and untidy. The Interiors are poorly done and the workers who constructed it did not do quite as good a job as he had expected. but then again he didn't. because the Wolves that were meant to stay here or not were very important to him. While he had all the resources to make sure that the servants stayed in better places he chose to bring those funds to other
ALPHA HERCULES I have been running for almost an hour now. I need to block out the voices in my head. to allow my wolf to take charge. to be free. so much had happened within a short span of time that I felt like I was suffocating.I had gotten word that Audrey had just woken up. On the other hand my father couldn't get off my back. pestering me over and over again asking questions about who she was and why she was so important. It has been exactly two days since we found her unconscious. While I expect her to go back to normal servant duties, I am worried about her health and safety. was that right? of course it wasn't. because I, as an Alpha should not worry for a worthless mate. Today morning I had received yet again the second reminder of an invitation from Alpha Jeremy. I had not responded to the previous one and now I still doubted if I wanted to go. A couple of days ago I was in the same situation as that man. I have not found out that my mate was some Savant. but now I am re
AUDREY'S POV When I opened my eyes, I had found myself in unfamiliar territory. The room was not more beautiful and magnificent than the Servant quarters. it smelled of lavender. for some reason I could also catch the scent of my mate as if he was around. if only things are not going down that way. but as they say, if wishes were horses beggars would ride.I had eaten one of the most delicious meals just a couple of moments ago. I had not even expected to be given the luxury of eating before everyone else. The bed I slept on was warm. much warmer than every other place I have ever laid my head on.“You mind explaining what all of that was about?’’ the hoarse voice startles me. His scent engulfs the atmosphere, filling my nostrils and causing a tingling sensation between my thighs. I gasp as I stare at him. as handsome as ever. the things that I wanted to do with him…“her..Alpha Hercules…” he stands a short distance away from me. acting like he's afraid of me.‘’ I don't know what y
