"Chief? You are really not someone pretending to be him?" Julian stammered, disbelief written all over his face.

Chief Ridgeway let out a long sigh. Then he lifted his head, his eyes sharp as blades, and said sternly, "Luna, we retested the trace blood samples left on the discarded syringes from that day. It's HIV positive. The evidence is irrefutable. We also have a complete chain of proof, including your prior irregular treatment records at the disease control center. Knowing full well that you had HIV, you deliberately shared needles and infected your classmates. What exactly were you trying to do?"

Instantly, everyone’s scrutinizing gaze locked onto her.

It was as if all her strength had been drained. She staggered backward and slammed into a desk. With her scheme exposed, her face went deathly pale, and she could not utter a single word.
