Noises were heard around me, my lashes slowly fluttered open only to jam themselves closed once again.

In the air, the scent of antiseptics filled the room making me scrunch my nose.

The sound I heard came from two female nurses.

Immediately my eyes propped open I met the gaze of one of them.

Her face shone like an angel when the sun from the daylight met her face.

"Oh my, you're awake" she said with a smile beaming up her lips. Nodding her head to the other lady, I watched her leave my side heading for the exit.

As I tried to seat upright, pain jolted through my body like an electric shock making a wince to leave my lips.

The memories of the last night's incident came replaying again.

I remembered Lucian coming to stay beside me when my reaction was kicking in.

Before I fell unconscious, I could see the worry on his face. I saw the way he frantically stretched his hands to reach me but in my stubbornness I kept pushing him aside.
