I turned to face my uncle and instantly regretted it.

Besides his graying hair that curled heavily around his ears and over his forehead, he hadn't changed much. I guess people will say he was a good looking man, but all I could see was a sick, demented bastard.

"Why're you here?"

"It's my favourite niece's engagement. You think I'd miss it for the world?"

I dragged in a shaky breath and clenched and unclenched my hand.

"You managed to fuck your way to the top after all," his smile was cruel and venomous. "You don't expect me to bow to you now, do you?"

"I don't expect anything from you," I said, hating the way my entire body trembled at his sight, hating the memories that flashed in my head. He still had a hold on me despite all these years and I hated it.

He took a step closer and my body froze.

He was a head taller than me and I hated the way he towered over me.

"Andre won't like you so close to me like this?" I whispered with trem
