I particular liked going to mafia parties and dinners because it was one of the few times when my guards didn't have to follow me about 24/7.

There was an extravagant ball downstairs to celebrate my engagement to Andre, but here I was, standing in an empty hallway in the DiMarco mansion, giddy with excitement and nervousness.

My engagement party was a week long celebration consisting of socialites, aristocrats and elites that would have to kiss up to me and pretend to like me.

My dress was a black, elegant, off the shoulder, backless mermaid dress with a long flowing train attached to the skirt. It was embellished with sequins and tiny diamonds and my hair was done in an elegant updo with strands brushing my neck and shoulders.
