Chapter 66: Worse fate than death

"Mateo and Rico are in the meeting room like you asked, boss," Louise informed me, cutting me out of my reverie.

Ah yes. The two fools that were tasked with guarding Daniel. One of them had called me during the party just to distract me enough that I would not be able to stop the fiasco that happened tonight between Bianca and Natalia. The other guard just went along with it and reinforced his statement.

I knew that they were either paid or coerced by Lucas to do what they did. It's time I reminded them why they take orders from me and no one else and I planned to do it in the presence of all my top ranking soldiers, so that nobody gets any ideas.

My men were gathered and waiting for me in the meeting room and I sensed the nervous energy flowing around the room as I stood at the threshold of the room.
