Chapter 1

*Anusha Pov*

"Let me sleep, Bhai." I screamed, covering my face with the pillow, but he continued to knock on the door.

"Why are you torturing me?" I asked, opening the door to which he smiled and pushed me back before entering the room.

"I am not going to sit alone with them to bear their company. You can't escape it just because today is a holiday." He replied, shrugging, and started checking my music collection.

"Then you go and sleep." I mumbled, sitting on the bed.

"Nope! Then he will start giving me a class on how a businessman should spend the leisure days." He pointed out making me grin.

"A businessman is a businessman even in his sleep." I repeated Dad's words.

"Exactly! Now, get ready and come downstairs. Otherwise, I am not going to give you this ticket." Saying that he took out a paper making me scream.

"I didn't get one then how did you?" I asked, reaching near him but he lifted it up.

"Connections! Now, let's enjoy breakfast and in the evening I will even come along with you to the movie." He suggested.

"I can go with my friend." I suggested back.

"It is a night show." He stated as an explanation and left my room while I sighed.

After getting ready, I walked downstairs to see Mom and Dad already in their places and I so I knocked on Bhai's door on the way to which he immediately opened the door. We both walked downstairs and took our places in the dining area.

"Did you talk to the client?" Dad asked looking at me.

"Yeah! He is ready to listen to our deal." I replied, taking the bread slice.

"Are you ready with the deal to show the client?" he asked, turning towards Bhai and all he got was a nod.

"Tell him to be proper at the meeting and get this client somehow." Dad said looking at me.

"Dad! He is best." I assured him, but he just shook his head and continued to have his breakfast.

"It's a good thing you woke up early. We need to go shopping today." Mom suddenly said making me frown.

"Mom! I can't come today and what is the need?" I asked her frowning.

She looked at me like I said some very bad joke, but she shook her head in the next minute in disappointment.

"That's why I asked you to attend the kitty parties with me. Anyway, we need to upgrade ourselves with the fashion developments. And you are really good at telling the proper ones that would suit me." She pointed out smiling.

"Mom! I am actually going out today. And I don't know how long will it take for the shopping." I said with a smile.

"Date?" she asked, smiling and there was complete silence around us with Dad looking at me.

"Anyone we know?" he asked frowning.

"You know him too well, Dad." Bhai finally entered the conversation.

"Really? Who is that?" he asked with a relieved expression.

"Me!" when Bhai uttered that I couldn't help but laugh at Dad's expression.

"Ansh!" Dad warned, but Bhai just gave him an innocent expression.

"You don't know me well, Dad?" he asked with wide eyes and I wish he would stop that because I felt like laughing out loud seeing his drama.

"I am going to work." Saying that Dad stood up and gave a nod to Mom.

"Mom! Don't you think Dad should have stayed at home at least on Sundays?" I asked frowning at her.

"Why would he do that? Work is more important and even I need to meet the charity organization today." Saying that she stood up and walked off in the opposite direction.

"That's a relief!" Bhai said, sighing and leaned back with a relaxed expression.

"Don't you worry that they are becoming even more distant?" I asked him frowning.

"Isn't it a good thing? I can't hear either both of them talking about society or about some new people of our standards." He replied closing his eyes.

"But I had fun today." He added grinning.

"You should have joined the drama school." I said, kicking his leg with mine.

"I wanted to when I was in school, but Dad just said a future businessman never does drama. So, I decided to unleash all that on them." He said winking at me making me sigh.

"Just don't forget about the movie because of one of your dates." I said getting up to which he chuckled.

"Don't worry! Today I am very free with a fresh break up made yesterday, but I can't say the same about tomorrow. Who knows, I may meet someone today night only?" he asked and laughed seeing my expression before walking off.

"God! I want to meet some normal people in my life like completely normal." I said, looking up and walked off to my room to hear some music to forget all this.

"Stop that nonsense." I grumbled passing the living room, but my Bhabhi continued to watch the television not reducing the sound.

"Why are you scolding my daughter-in-law?" Mom asked, reaching the dining table with a frown holding the dishes in her hands.

"Who will watch a soap opera in the morning?" I asked taking my place.

"Because of the match we both missed it yesterday and you only suggested we record it and watch later." She pointed out and served the paratha.

"I gave a suggestion when you both started fighting with Dad and Bhai disturbing my reading." I pointed back that I was not involved with a match at all.

Before she can open her mouth, we heard footsteps and saw Dad and Bhai walking towards the dining area which means she will go quiet making me smirk.

"Stop that! Who watches soap opera in the early morning?" Dad asked passing the living room and then I heard the television getting switched off.

When Bhabhi walked towards the table, I glared at her, but she just gave a shrug before helping Mom with the serving and everyone took their place.

"I will assume you are coming for tomorrow's meeting." Dad asked but I stayed quiet.

"It would have been a normal one, but seems like we have a competition tomorrow. So, it would be better if everyone is present and be ready for any extra work." He added.

"Do I need to be there? My work doesn't involve presenting the idea to the client." I pointed out to which he frowned at me.

"If any new idea needs to be given, then should we call you and wait for you to reach?" he asked making me grit my teeth but I stayed silent.

"Don't talk about the business having breakfast and that too on holiday." Mom stated making me smile to myself.

She is always in the first step to stop Dad from saying anything to me. Well, the perks of being Mom's favorite, but at work Bhai has it for being Dad's favorite.

"Thank you, Mom!" I said, hugging her when Dad and Bhai left the dining area finishing their breakfast to discuss tomorrow's meeting.

"You can thank her better by doing one thing." Bhabhi offered reaching near us.

"How?" I asked her frowning.

"Every day we miss our shows because of your Dad and Brother. So, we both thought of having a television in your room. You are not interested in it. So, can we?" she asked smiling.

"Why don't you have one in one of your rooms?" I asked them frowning.

"Then they will occupy that along with living room's. Can't you do this for your poor mother?" Bhabhi asked, gesturing my Mom and Mom gave that sad look.

"Fine, Fine! When you look sad, you know that I will do everything." I said, pulling her cheeks and she smiled.

"But I don't want Dad to think I asked this for myself. It is your duty to get one and don't use my name." I added to which Bhabhi promised and I shook my head walking away.

Now, I will not have peace, even in my room to have a good time reading a book. But if it for Mom, then it doesn't matter at all! I thought, smiling and reached my room to finish the important books before the roommate, the television enters my room.
