Chapter 31 - Clock On the Bomb Is Ticking
Before everyone knew it, another school year had arrived. Before it started, there were several more attacks from Salvadore, Johhan and Chris, but Selene was watched day and night. Later, even during her lessons at school, Damon was always somewhere around, ready to protect her, although he doubted that Salvadore would attack Selene in a place with a lot of people. Maybe he was getting more and more desperate, but for sure was not so stupid. No matter how powerful some demons were, they never risked exposing themselves to too many mortals at once.

Damon's anger was indeed waning, and helplessness was slowly taking its place. He felt as if all his life energy was leaving him along with anger, and when became like a normal demon again, he fell to his knees, completely exhausted. At this moment one of Alistair's troops moved to attack him. In September, after nine months of pregnancy, Isabelle gave birth to a beautiful and healthy baby girl, whom she and her husband named Rose. Johnathan was overjoyed, and Isabelle was also very happy, because finally had the baby she wanted so much. Maria and Eleazar got married in December, Marco and Teresa a year later. Light & Darkness: Book 1 Chapter 1 - Birthday: Part 1
Sunlight filtered through a thick blue curtain, illuminating a small room located in the attic. Right by the door was a large wooden desk, painted white, and a swivel chair. Under the desk was a trash can filled to the brim with some papers, soda bottles, and salty snack wrappers. On the desk there was a laptop in a silver casing, a pile of notebooks and books, and a tiny lamp. Above the desk there was a large shelf with a lot of books - from textbooks, through readings, to romances. Here and there, there were photos framed in colorful frames and many other ornaments such as jugs, figurines, etc.There was a large wardrobe opposite the desk, and its door was decorated with baroque ornaments of flowers, angels and animals. Next to the wardrobe there was quite big, pink dressing table with a large mirror, framed in a wave-shaped frame decorated with tiny roses. There were make-up cosmetics scattered on the dressing table, and a small box, probably containing the owner's jewelry.
