Chapter 17

“Obey me in the future.”

“Yes, yes, yes. As you say, anything you say.” To be honest, Cecelia had not heard a word that William had said. Her mind and sight were only filled with William’s Apollo’s belt. “So can I touch it now?”

Seeing how the lady was about to drool over his body, William frowned. “Are you like that toward every man?”

“Huh?” Cecelia was taken aback for a moment. “Other than you, I’ve never seen a shirtless man. You’re the first!”

William looked at her face that was of fair complexion, his tone remained unchanged as he said, “How about your ex-boyfriend?”

“We’ve never even shared a bed to chit chat.”

At the mention of Hawick, Cecelia’s face became filled with displeasure. “Let me tell you, don’t ever mention that jerk’s name in front of me again. I’m through with him. That jerk is a stranger in my life from now on.”

Cecelia might not have realized it herself, but she was more angry than sad because of the hurt Hawick had caused her.

Later, Cecelia added on, “I’m sure he’s not as good looking as you either. Your figure is perfect!”

The man’s expression changed as he walked over to Cecelia and pulled her hand toward his body. “You have good taste.”

“Wahhhh....”

Cecelia’s dream finally came true, and she hummed a satisfying hum.

Cecelia was satisfied now but as for William...

He noticed that the lady was not planning to remove her hand from his body and thus, he said, “I thought I heard someone knock on the door.”

“... nope!”

“Someone did!”

Cecelia focused on listening. “No one did. I was born in the year of the Rabbit, my hearing is very sharp.”

“You can check for yourself if you don’t believe me.”

William’s insistence made Cecelia doubt herself. “Did I hear something?”

She then walked toward the door.

The moment Ceclia left, William heaved in relief and marched into the bathroom.

Just as he was about to close the bathroom door, he heard Cecelia shout, “There isn’t anyone at the door. I already said so, I would have heard it if it were true.”

By the time William came out of the bathroom, the person that was there to greet him was Cecelia whose brain had come back online.

When Cecelia regained her rationality, she remembered that she had a score to settle with William!

“What is this?”

Cecelia brought the receipts to him.

William did not stop drying his hair with the towel and said, “Receipt!”

“... how many clothes did you buy until you ended up spending 50 thousand Yuan!!?” Cecelia nearly spat out blood when she saw the string of zeros.

However, William’s reply that came next was the true cause of her losing her mind.

William calmly replied, “One set.”

“O... one set!!!!” Cecelia felt that she was going to experience a hemorrhagic stroke.

“Don’t tell me it’s that piece you were wearing earlier.”

“Yes.”

“...”

‘Deep breaths, deep breaths, deep breaths...’ Cecelia had to take several deep breaths in order to not pass out.

Cecelia’s body began to tremble as she stared at William with her bloodshot eyes. There were so many things that she wanted to say, but they all came out as one simple sentence, “Pretty boy, we’re not suitable for each other.”

Her most expensive piece of clothing cost less than 500. On the other hand, William had spent 50 thousand on a single set as if it was something normal. If things continued, even if she worked herself to death, she would be unable to feed him.

Cecelia was about to cry. Nevertheless, William seemed not to notice and instead said calmly, “Transfer the money as soon as possible to the account written on the receipt.”

“Y... you... you!” Cecelia was on the verge of tears. “Am I your ATM?”

William was unmoved by her tears. “You were the one who proposed we get married!”

“Yes, I was the one who pulled you into this, but you...” His gaze was colder than before, but Cecelia felt that they were things she had to say, “You’re a man, while I’m a lady. Furthermore, I’m weak. Can’t you at least feel a little sorry for me?”
