Jordan tiptoed out of bed as soon as Amelia turned the other way, he had been awake for close to thirty minutes and he was waiting for her to detangle herself from him so he could slip out as quiet as possible, his thoughts were all over the place and the last thing he wanted was them having the conversation right after waking up with both of them reeking of sex. Adonia walked into the press conference with her head up high on her shoulders, she was feeling on top of the world, no feeling could beat that. Knowing she was out of a toxic environment was one thing and knowing she had one of the best management now was another thing. She wanted to sue Quincy for libel and defamation so they agreed under the roof that he pays her a sum of thirty million dollars for damages and they have a red table discussion that would be made public. That way, Adonia’s side of the story would be clear and nobody would be able to talk her down anymore. Her mom is no longer her manager, instead, she is being managed by the great Bella Diez, a ruthless manager. She wondered how long her dad had been planning to switch management for him to get her a new management by Bella Diez and when she met the woman, she was at peace because she looked strict and was very nice. After the morning jog, Jordan made it back to the house with sweat trickling over his face. He looked a mess but his insides were quite stable now. He was ready to face Amelia and tell her his truth. He would probably come off as selfish but the truth was that he needed to come out straight to her, he had no idea what would happen at the ned but he knew he wanted his best friend back and he wasn’t ready to go into a sexual relationship with her. He closed the door as he walked in and Amelia appeared from the corner of the room, looking all dashing as always. The only place he seemed to think of for refuge was his baby's presence. A popular saying that home is where the heart belongs but in Jordan’s case, he had no idea where home was at this point. Maybe he needed to take a step back from everything and rethink his own life. If friends and family abandoned people, there would always be one person who would never leave your corner. For Jordan, that person was June, his sick daughter. He might not know what to do at this point but sitting with his baby girl without any care in the world would definitely make things work better for him. Jordan sat stiffly trying to maintain a straight face while the tiny girl draw him, he knew it was a recipe for disaster the moment he suggested it but there’s nothing wrong with letting her get the joy of drawing her famous director daddy. He was trying hard not to smile as she scrunched up her face and two colors were sticking out of her mouth, she was sketching furiously on the large sketch pad that has housed over hundred caricature drawings of both him, Amelia, and other nursing staff. Sometimes, the plants make it there or the lovely animals she met on her way back from a walk. Have you ever felt like you are finally doing something right with your life and you needed to celebrate it in an extrememly grand style? That was how Adonia felt after today’s red table discussion. She might have discovered how much this particular human didn’t give two fucks about her but she knew she was free from him forever, free to start being her own person. After the red table discussion, Adonia felt like she was on the right path for healing. Now she was going to give herself the pampering she deserved, she would allow herself heal at her own pace.
