"Enjoy your lunch."

I looked up at one of the cafeteria staff as I checked out my tray filled with nothing but a ham and cheese sandwich, water bottle, and apple. Sarah smiled at me, and I ignored her.

I wasn't in the mood to be happy for lunch. Because for me, I'm just going to stuff them in my backpack, place the tray on top of the trash, and head out to the top of the roof.

Not much showing myself eating in a place with most of the whole school where different groups of people stay within that border. You have jocks, cheerleaders, the popular crowd, the geeks, the skaters, the emos, the valedictorian, and there sits the drama club. Now that's the group I wanted to avoid the most.

I didn't want to be tempted by them: I just practiced lines, danced, and sang. Out of all the schools in Long Beach, we have the best singers and visuals, making us the number one best musical performance.

Lion King, Beauty, and the Beast, Peter Pan, anything with songs that create the storyline much more exciting and gives chills to others.

As a kid, I had that feeling of being on the stage, but now I don't linger around it, just waiting for the opportunity to be under the spotlight.

I reached the roof without seeing the fresh, clean air whiff through me, sending my hair dancing. I took a spot to sit and eat alone while listening to my music.

I am closing my eyes and chewing slowly as I nod my head to the rhythms. Suddenly, without thinking, I began to sing.

No one can rewrite the stars

How can you say you'll be mine?

Everything keeps up apart

And I'm not the one you were meant to find

It's not up to you; it's not up to me

When everyone tells us what we can be

How can we rewrite the stars?

Say that the world can be ours

Tonight...

As I sang along, somehow, the music playing through my earphone had an echo. It was Zac Eron, Zendaya, and a third person singing.

Is my earphone acting up again?

It happens sometimes, and I would get fussy over earphones. Skull Candy has the worst quality, but it's cheap to buy. I had iPhone earphones that came with it, but they broke when Paris pushed me down while I untangled the wire. Then, as I tried to grab it, her heel stepped on it. She and her friends continued their walk as they laughed. I had to purchase cheap earphones in a nearby store. I didn't want to ask Athena or Ares to buy me headsets when I knew the same thing would happen to them if I did ask. So I kept my mouth shut and stuck with the lousy quality earphones.

Confused, I pulled one plug out of my ear and looked at it when the voice became more evident, more harmonic, and in sync with the song. Someone's voice is excellent, especially with reasonable control of his singing. It wasn't the song playing through my earphone. It was an actual voice. That when I looked up through my bangs, my eyes grew wide.

Liam Wolfe is singing right in front of me.

I learned of his name once Jordan announced the new students from Hawaii. The twins, Logan and Liam Wolfe. And apparently, my new desk neighbors. Liam had shorter hair and sat on my left, which gave me a handsome smile, knowing he's a people person. With the coat over his shoulders, Logan sat on my right. He defended me from Paris's vicious tongue and lay his head on the desk for the rest of the class period. It means he's just a lay-back guy.

I have them in Jordan's class practically every class, but I also hope they aren't in music class because I have enough of them sitting next to me as if I need the company. The boys in the class are confused while the girls sit in their seats, drooling over the new hula boys from Hawaii. No doubt they are more handsome than most of the boys in school. Throughout the whole three periods, Logan feels asleep. I didn't want to linger around him, knowing his behavior could affect my boring life. If he wanted to sleep, he should have stayed home.

I avoid people who want to sit next to me because of what they say. Everybody who learned about that tragic accident knew how I was the only one alive. Now that Liam is in front of me singing Rewrite the Stars from the movie The Greatest Showman. I became still.

My heart was racing, and I was beginning to panic. I thought no one was here. I thought I was the only one about the roof access because no one was allowed on top of the roof, but I wasn't alone anymore.

"Love that song," he smiles. "So, what are you doing up here?"

How the hell did he know I was up here? And what the hell is he doing here?

I didn't realize it at first, but then I heard the door for the exit, the only door up here slammed. I could have sworn I saw a girl run inside and disappear to hide the embarrassment she was up here with a guy.

And I inwardly rolled my eyes.

He brought a girl up here to score.

I tried not to show annoyance on my face which only made Liam smile brighter.

"I didn't mean to ruin your lunch. I just heard some noise here and thought the janitor caught me, but it seems I find you were singing," he brushed his hair back and fixed up his shirt. "Beautiful voice, by the way. I felt like I was in Sunday mass, right bro?"

Bro?

I heard a zipper noise as I found my eyes on Logan as he walked around the air vent, putting on his shirt; I took a glimpse of his abs, made my face turn red while he tied his hair into a low-cut bun.

I couldn't contain how hot my face was, so I had to look away before he could get a look at my tomato face.

Suddenly, I saw a girl with brunette wavy hair come up behind Logan and went to his side with her hair, clothes, and makeup all messed and smeared. She looks oddly familiar, but I couldn't see her whole face so I couldn't determine who she was. I didn't need a second guess that he and his brother were both up here trying to get some...

UGH!

Is that what all men want from women to give head. Seriously, out of all the places, why couldn't they have done it at home or somewhere else where I could relax and enjoy my lunch on the roof.

This is embarrassing and not to mention awkward. If I knew someone was up here beside me, I would have eaten in the girls' bathroom.

"See, you later Logan," The brunette wrapped around Logan's waist and kissed his cheek. "Thanks for lunch," licking her lips and then hurrying back inside the school.

Liam watched the girl leave, she seems familiar. Her head turned as our eyes made eye contact and a small smirk plastered on her face.

What the hell?

  • Logan (Book 1)   EPILOGUE

Hello to my readers! This chapter is the last chapter for LOGAN and just to warn you it's a bit longer and I don't want to split it in half because this is an epilogue. I deeply apologize and would like to say thank you for joining me on this journey with completing book 1 of The Wolfe Brothers series. See you guys in book 2! It had been a week since the incident with Heather, and I was ready to return to school, acting as if nothing had happened. The next day I treated it like any other ordinary day. Forget about the past and move on with the future. After spending my recovery at my grandfather's home for a week, some students think I had an accident. Although I'm healed, I had to get a weekly check-up to see if I'm fully recovered to do anything. I contacted Lena and told her part of the truth as to why I was missing that weekend, and she forgave me and requested I work extra hard. It turned out she will be planning to have my EP album out soon for Christmas with original song

  • Logan (Book 1)   EIGHTY FOUR

"Effie, what's wrong, baby?" Logan came out of the bathroom as quickly as he saw me taking out the comforters. My leg throbs, but I didn't want to leave my virgin blood on the silk covers."We need to burn these sheets," I said, struggling to remove the comforters while naked, and Logan was enjoying the view. "Can you not stare and help me.""I could see this every day," he smirked, leaning on the bathroom door frame - naked. His cock was still erect after making love."Why don't you take a picture?" I told him with a grunt."Why should I when I have the real deal," he chuckled."Logan, please help. I just had sex with you for the first time, and I'm a bit sore down there." I hissed from a slight pang. "Oh... Wow""Yeah, you will get used to that," he chuckled and was amused by my glare. "Here, let me do it-," Logan said as he tried to take the blanket, but I jerked it away."Go take the other end.""Damn, you're so bossy. Did our lovemaking change you?" He asked as a joke."No, it's

  • Logan (Book 1)   EIGHTY THREE

Logan got off the bed, removing his pants and boxers, while I quickly did the same with my clothes and took off my bra and underwear. I sat naked on the bed, staring at the beautiful creature.Logan stood there all whole naked specimen looking mighty fucking fine. Logan was a living working art, his olive skin so tempting to touch. Every move gave away his strength. Every inch of his body was drool-worthy; his abdomen was a sculpture to perfection as his six-pack popped instantly, giving off the impression that he was reborn once again as a Hawaiian God. In his past life, he must have been a warrior, strong and loyal. His biceps were the size of my head. For an eighteen-year-old guy, he worked pretty hard to earn those muscles. But what caught my attention was his cock that sprung. I swallowed hard as my eyes grew wide. I know what I'm getting myself into, but should I wait? His cock was huge, and I didn't think it would fit me.Logan took something from his wallet that appeared to b

  • Logan (Book 1)   EIGHTY TWO

I gaze at the girl in the mirror. The looking glass wall-mounted, encircled by a frame of threadlike strands of silver, interlaced together in a mock-cable arrangement. The luminosity of the light shone through the whole bathroom as I studied myself. After a long shower, I called for cleansing. Three days I have not bathed, and it's revolting.I turned over, wiped the fog off the mirror, and stood there looking at myself, taking in every detail, shape, size, and color. The mirror shows me what the whole world can understand. A girl with scars, long black hair, and silver eyes; covered in scars and the faded purple bruise around my abdomen where Heather kicked me at the same place. It doesn't hurt nearly as much now.Everything I've been through since that accident was full of fright, frustration, and loneliness. Then through my teenage years, however lonely, isolated, and neglected by others who saw me as a threat. Meeting Lily changed my thoughts about people; we became loyal friend

  • Logan (Book 1)   EIGHTY ONE

While the mood goes too emotional, I spotted Terry not getting into this happy moment. I pulled back from the family hug. "Hey guys, can you leave for a moment? I want to talk to Terry."Everyone saw how serious my tone was and walked out. Before he left with the others, Logan planted a quick kiss and told me he would be outside if I needed anything.Once everyone left as Logan closed the door. It was just Terry and me.I say straight up as Terry stands there with his hands behind his back. It was quiet and awkward. Honestly, I'm nervous, but I got to let it all out and ask. I want to know if Terry's the person from my childhood. Pivoted flashbacks in my mind as I remembered the older girl."Terry?""Yes?" He answered formally.Where are you from?"London.""You don't have an accent. Where were you born there?""No."I bite my lower lip. "Okay, where were you born?""Long Beach."I inhaled and let out the air. "Have you lived in a foster home with a family called the Brayden?"I waite

Tears were falling from my eyes before Athena said the words. "But dad said his parents died. How? How can this be?""You know dad didn't like to talk about his family," Ares said with a snort. "He makes things up to lie.""Effie," sat back down, taking my hand while Odin had the other. "I know it's a shock to you, but think about it. The time you spend with him, don't you feel a connection when you spend time with me? Most people say he's the spitting image of me."I thought about it the first time I met Odin at the bus stop trying to go home. "At first, I thought he was stalking me."A snort was made, and I saw it was coming from Seth, who pursed his lips. Terry stared at him and glared. Don hit his older brother in the head, making Seth snarl at his younger brother."I only followed you because I thought I saw a replica of my Lorraine," Odin added. "Athena looks like your mom, Ares has your dad and mine good looks, but you," he touches my chin gently on his fingers. "You have your

"Oh my god, Effie," Thea was the first to embrace me with her fragile-yet strong arms. She squeezes me. "I'm so glad you're okay."Everyone who burst through those doors shocked me that they all waited for me to wake up. Seeing all of their faces warms my heart."How long was I out?" I asked."Three days," Ares replied.Three days!No wonder I felt so weak, and my hair smells like I haven't bathed in years, which is gross.Thea was squeezing me tighter. I gasped for air. "Thea, I can't breath."Thea did not answer but only felt her body shaking uncontrollably; I know it was not the pregnancy but her fear of losing her baby sister and another family member.I rubbed her back and laid my head on hers as she cried softly."I was so worried about you," she sniffled and pulled back. Her silver eyes were moist with tears. "When Clark told us that his cousin is back and explained how obsessed she was with Logan, I knew right then something bad was happening."I looked over at Clark, who was

  • Logan (Book 1)   SEVENTY EIGHT

Twelve years ago at The Brayden's Home - Foster Home. "Haha," Kenny laughed, pointing a finger at me. "You are a nobody and were left here. Nobody wants you." I hugged my legs, hiding behind the house of The Brayden, owned by George and Maggie Brayden. They were friendly, but the way they greeted me felt like those weirdo parents who kept their children sanitized from everything they touched. George was no muscle but short and tubby-like a gnome with a Super Mario mustache, and Maggie wore heavy make-up looking like 99 cents cheap doll. They were friendly, but I felt uncomfortable talking to them. Since I arrived without Ares and Athena because they were sent to different homes, I was scared. I was alone for the first time. "Look at those ugly scars! Ewww!!" He and the other kids older than me chorus, looking disgusted at my accident scars. I tried to cover them up, but my body was so small I could go up and run away. I went inside, and they followed me into the house and called m

Twelve years ago...Long Beach Memorial Hospital - Patients Room.Feeling as if minutes passed by, I weakly opened my eyes to see nothing but blurred with a bright white dot, and all I could think was Tinkerbell. I fluttered my eyes a few times to clear my eyes, and finally, the light bulb came to view. I looked up at the ceiling and made my eyes burn. I squint. I woke up in an unfamiliar room of only white, no peels or dirt. There is no decoration except a borderline of pink and blue bunnies jumping in a line over light green grass. Two windows at my side with pink drapes covering the sun's brightness. Next to it was a water bag connected to clear tubes that drips water and beeping machines that mommy calls heart monitors that track your heart rate. A needle poking my arm with many stitches wrapped around it like long princess gloves, and seeing them made my stomach ache. I breathe only to find a tube in my nose that shoots air from another machine. The pain from my head hurts so b
