Chapter 10.1
Once the day of the party came, Timothy was brought to Grian’s house so he’ll be safe there. A helper is going to take care of him as Fatima and Philippe are away. Nikki was helping Fatima get ready, while Grian was helping Philippe in the other room. Since the party is at night, they have a lot of time to get ready.
“Oh, come on! You’ll look so good, just let me do what I want,” Nikki pushed her idea and Fatima frowned. She looked at her face in the mirror and sighed. “The makeup is going to be so heavy!” she exclaimed but Nikki shook her head and grabbed a brush.
“Trust me,” she whispered, making Fatima a little afraid of what she’ll do to her face.

When the night came, Nikki and Philippe were brought to the party first by Christopher who refused to go with Hannah, his supposed date tonight. Grian and Fatima stayed behind for a bit before going to the party because of Timothy. “Don’t give your babysitter too much trouble, okay?” she reminded him and he nodded happily before looking at the screen again. She patted his head before turning to Grian. “Let’s go,” she said and he nodded. He helped her walk outside since she’s not so used to what she’s wearing but she’s getting more used to it. The heels aren’t as tall as the other one but it’s still tall. Grian opened the car door for her and she entered the car and put on her seatbelt before he entered the driver’s seat. “Thanks for considering Tim as well,” she said and he smiled.

As she was staying outside, she tried her best not to cry because she doesn’t want to ruin the makeup done by Nikki. The cold air of the night was comforting yet it also made her feel sad. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She looked at the mansion they were invited to and couldn’t even appreciate the beauty of it till now. The marble walls, medieval feel, and beautiful interior and exterior design mesmerize her. She took a deep breath again and closed her eyes to calm down. “I didn’t expect to stumble upon you here. Maybe we can call it.. destiny?” She opened her eyes and turned around. Her eyes widened when she saw her mother wearing a formal dress with the same shade as her dress, the color red. “Would you look at that,” her mother said in amusement while looking at her daughter’s dress.

AS THE NIGHT TURNED darker as time passed by, the people at the party were having fun except for Christopher who’s being chased down by Hannah to dance with her. Nikki and Philippe however, are in the middle of the room dancing to the music and having fun, and laughing with each other’s words. William and his date are also dancing a few feet away from the other two. “Oh, Christopher~” He hid behind a waiter as Hannah passed by before running off in the opposite direction, only to stumble upon his business partners. “Mr. Denver! [Flashback Start] “Let go of me!” Fatima screamed and pushed Christopher away as he tried to stop her from leaving. The rain poured down as the two argued with one another. “Come on, I’ll talk to my mother-“ he got cut off. “And what?! This happened far too many times! Your mother never changed and I’m not going to bend over backward just to please that woman!” she frustratedly pushed him away and wiped the rain on her face as her makeup got ruined. “Baby.. come on now, I promise this won’t happen again,” he tried to convince her but it seems that nothing can change her mind. “Let’s break up,” she said and he froze. They stared at each other as they both get soaked.

FATIMA GOTTEN WOKEN up because she heard knocking on Grian’s front door. And his doorbell rang. She got up from the guest bed before checking the clock and noticed it was close to midnight. She stumbled to get out of bed as she walked herself out of the room, through the living room, and finally the door. “Who’s there?” she asked tiredly as she rubbed her eyes with her hand. “It’s me.” Phil’s voice is heard from the other side. Footsteps behind Fatima and was also heard. She turned around and saw Grian with a sleepy and confused face. “It’s my brother,” she said and he nodded before walking past her and opening the door for Philippe. “Who gave you a ride?” she asked as he entered the house.

AT THE COFFEE SHOP, Fatima was busy serving customers with their orders. More and more people are coming in for lunch so she got extra busy with work. As she was serving a table, the telephone started ringing. She finished serving the table before going behind the counter and answering the call. “Hello?” she asked as she put her hair in a bun. “Hey, how’s it going there?” Grian’s voice was heard on the other side of the phone. Fatima raised an eyebrow and smirked. “Oh, I’m sorry. Are you perhaps the owner?” she joked with a sassy tone and he chuckled. “No, but I’m his secretary,” he answered and she laughed. “I’m busy serving and preparing their orders, just call again later,” she explained as she looked at the people eating.

THE FOLLOWING MORNING, the sky is dull and dark as the rain poured down the city. Near the cemetery, a man wearing black clothes with an umbrella walked up to a grave and looked at it with grieving eyes. He sighed heavily as he tried not to let his tears fall once more for how many times today and the other days. He clenched his hand that was holding the bouquet of flowers before looking away, having a hard time controlling his emotion.He deeply sighed before looking at the grave again and bending down to put the flowers down. He closed his eyes as his heart tightened. (Forgive me. It was all my fault why... why she ended up like this.)
