Chapter 23: Paxis' Malicious Plot

As the tram was about to violently collide into Jameck, its driver closed his eyes and prepared for the worst. 

A few seconds later, the collision came.

There was a loud metallic clang. The sound was followed by the upper part of a heavy traffic pole smashing onto the vehicle that had run into it, shattering the windshield and moderately denting the roof of the second deck. 

Other pieces of metal littered the street as nearby vehicles slowed to a halt to inspect the accident.

The tram driver hurriedly opened the door and rushed outside. His first action was to check if the child his vehicle had crashed into was dead or alive.

But to his great surprise, the man found that he had
