Sadie frowned. Chad felt like a total stranger to her now.

"You need to see the doctor for treatment if you're suffering from an illness, Chad. It has been over between us for a long time. Stop using any excuse you can find for us to see each other again.

"Also, you’re in this predicament now because you brought this upon yourself.

"Why would Josie get revenge on you this way? What did you do to her to push her to this point? There is a reason this happened. Your life turned out this way because you brought it upon yourself."

Even though Chad's face was fully bandaged, Sadie could sense he was shocked.
