"I believe everything is ready, Professor Ashton?" The chairman of the University of Arts and Design asked.
"Yes, sir. The judges have all arrived." Professor Reed Ashton answered and fixed his coat, preparing himself to go to the sample room.
"Great," The chairman nodded, satisfied and left the place to entertain other important guests who had come to see the competition.
The competition was not less than any other competition which had been held in the city before. It held utmost importance as there were more than one-hundred and fifty candidates participating in it, soaring the pride of the famous University of Arts and Design, high.
Not everyone could take an admission here and pass with low grades. Each student University of Arts and Design had, was bright and finest of all.
"Is there something wrong, gentlemen?" Reed Ashton furrowed his bro
"Professor Ashton, you called for me?" Zaria Smith poked her head inside the office room of Reed Ashton."Yes, I was hoping for us to have a cup of tea together, Miss. Smith." Reed Ashton invited her to sit and stared at his student who had never let him down, but this time he was disappointed in her.He had not anticipated that this student of his would chose to forfeit this way."Professor, you do not have to beat around the bush." She exhaled a breath as she had already read the expressions on his face."Then, explain why did you chose to stay behind and damage your own design?" He was certain that she would surpass all and won if it were not for her own doing, because there was no way someone could tamper with the jewellery models under the watch of CCTV camera. Only she could be this brave."It isn't completely damaged, it broke. Just a little damage to the
"Mia, are you hiding something from me?"Her husband's eyes swept through her."No, why would I?" She replied almost immediately and averted her eyes away to hide from her husband and found books in shelf interesting more. Master Anderson was agile to see the complicated fleeting emotions in his wife's eyes.He decided not to comment on anything, but coax her in to telling the matter herself on her own."Mia, my wife, I know there must be a reason you have been acting like this, but we've been together for so long. Which obstacles we haven't encountered yet? Take your time and tell me whenever you want to. I'll support your every choice."Madam Anderson glanced at her husband, the man she had been with more than two decades. She always heard how love changes with time. But his love was still the same. He was still the same.He had alway
"Oh God, what happened!" "Call someone." Master Anderson could only utter these two words. What happened to his wife? Collapsing out of blue. Elizabeth understood his agony and nodded, trotted towards the main hall to call someone. There she saw Elian talking with someone on phone. "Young Master! Young Master!" "What happened?" Elian calmly asked like nothing happened. "Madam Anderson--" Elian suddenly had a sudden premonition. "What happened to mom?" "She.. she fainted." After he heard what Lisa had said, he rushed to the study room and everyone in the mansion started to prepare themselves to go to the hospital together. In the University. "Come on, we're going to the shopping for our little Daisy now!" Sofia Brown shout
"He's there, discussing something." Lisa silently pointed out at some other room that had a golden nameplate, 'Doctor Frederick.' Zaria frowned, "What is uncle doing over there when aunt is in another room? I should inform him of my arrival." As she made her way towards the room, she stopped dead in her track when she heard the doctor's words. "Haven't she told you about her illness?" "What illness?" Her uncle questioned. "She has a brain tumour. She has been coming here for three years for treatment. Strangely, no one in her house knows of this."The reason why she would disappear at times was all because of this? Brain tumour? Zaria's mind went blank when she heard of this. 'Aunt has a brain tumour?' 'Since when?' 'Why did she not tell th
"She wants to talk with you." Elian gazed at Elizabeth who seemed surprised at Elian Anderson's words. "Me?" She pointed at herself in astonishment. Elian simply nodded. "What are you waiting for? Go on!" Ria urged Lisa to go to her aunt while she straightened up and pushed her hazelnut strands behind her ear and looked at Elian with an eager look. "Is aunt alright?" Albeit, she was trying too hard to compose her emotions, but her eyes seemed to be not working for her anymore. They were shaking. Elian finally took a look at the girl in front of him. The girl who was soon-to-be his wife. Her fair cheeks had tear stains and her designer clothes seemed untidy as if she had run a marathon. "There's nothing to worry about. Also, mom would be more concerned if she sees you like this." Zaria blushed under his stare and touched her
"Is the bride ready yet?" A voice asked, outside the door. "Yes, just a moment! I'm retouching the make-up. You can come in now." Sofia answered as she applied the lip gloss on her princess' lips with concentration and lastly, fixed the veil on her head. "You look breathtaking today." Zaria looked up at the reflection of the mirror and stood up quickly from the stool, stupefied. "Alec!" Both the girls shouted in unison. "Hi." He smiled, standing there with a hand in his pants' pocket. His forest green emerald eyes showed gentleness. "Look at you! You have gotten more handsome now." Sofia exclaimed. "Thanks." He did not say much and only smiled again. "You guys still seem the same to me though." He teased her. Sofia narrowed her eyes, "Hey! I have gotten more pretty and hot, okay
"Is my daughter-in-law ready, Sofia?" When Madam Anderson arrived she did not see Sofia, rather she saw Alec talking with Ria."It's good to see you again, Madam Anderson." Alec lightly smiled."It's good to see you again, too, Young Master Williams." Madam Anderson nodded. She had not seen him in these past few years, so she did not feel close to him. This boy had grown to a fine young man in these years, she noticed."You're older than me, so please call me by my name." Alec gently requested. He was also polite and respectful."Okay, Alec." Mia Anderson finally smiled. He must have lost his feelings for her daughter now. Even if he did not, Zaria was marrying into the Anderson family."Aunt, you shouldn't be going to places. You will be exhausted." Zaria complaint as she approached her aunt with a frown etched on her fa
'When will it be commenced!? When will uncle come to take me?' Although she was not saying it loudly, even a blind could see her impatient behaviour with her biting her pink soft lips, seeing everything from the window sneakily, and sighing every once in a while. She was shameless. But could she help it?No.Her biggest wish was finally fulfilled. She was getting married to her one and only knight! How handsome would he look when he would match clothes with her at their wedding? What things she could ever ask for? She felt like everything she had ever gotten previously held no importance as if everything was worthless to her. What she wanted to have for so long, was now hers. Her life ambition was achieved today. She was going through some old photos on he
