Genna's POV

After about fifteen minutes of luring Denise back to sleep, she dozed off in Leonardo's arms. By now, I was sitting at the edge of the bed.

I pulled off the coat and held it in my arms. My shoulders were bare and I could even perceive the sweet smell of lavender oils.

In my sitting position on the bed, the gown I wore, looked even shorter. I smirked in the little mischief that was beginning to play in my head.

Leonardo gently lay Denise on the pillow, raised the covers up to her chin and pecked her cheek.

He motioned for us to leave the room, so that our noise wouldn't wake her up again. I tiptoed out of the room until I reached the hallway.

Leonardo closed the door behind him, took in a deep breath and turned away towards the hallway.

“Is she always like this?” He paused in his tracks, not turning to face me.

“No. Your noise woke her up.” He said grimly.

“My noise? Did I make the wind blow so hard and bang the window or did I cause the thunderclap?” I asked in hushed ton
