Topher whisked us away before I could even say goodbye, or thank you, to Anne. 

"Sorry, I didn't want her to ask about the babies. It's better that everyone thinks that you're carrying my child, and I can't lie to Anne." He explained. 

"What if I don't want everyone thinking that?" I arched a brow. 

"Zerena, don't be stubborn. It'll be easier for us all if they believe that's the case, at least for a little while. Can you just trust me on this?" He stared at me with pleading eyes. I lost myself in them for a moment. "Please." He whispered, stepping closer to me. 

"Fine. For a little while, but you better explain why this is better later." I pointed.
