It’s been a month now since the battle with Alester. Percy’s funeral hit me hard, breaking me further. I almost couldn’t bring myself to go. I raced to the door avoiding eye contact with anyone outside. I tried not to breathe too deeply, afraid I would inhale an intoxicating smell.
