Two men stood in front of the main doors to this large mansion. They saw Everett and seemed to immediately recognize him. They bowed their heads at him and opened the door for us. The ceilings were so damn tall, making it feel even bigger inside. Men just as big as Everett, if not larger, stood all around. Some had beautiful women draped around their arms, others stood brooding.Ha, so I wasn't too far off. "Let's greet the alpha king." Everett leaned down, whispering to me. I nodded my head. I had no idea there was an alpha king. I'm assuming by the title that he's the king of all alphas. I guess there would have to be one to keep all these alphas in check. "Alpha Everett. The atmosphere was thick with tension as all eyes fell seriously on Everett. "He's using these items and experiments to create these devices for the hunters and bounty seekers alike." I focused on the shadows around me instead of the alphas circling me. I whipped shadows up all around me. It looked like a circle of shadowy tentacles surrounded me. Three alphas lunged at me at the same time from different directions. I used the shadows to grip each one of them by the neck, tightly, lifting them in the air. All three alphas were clawing at the shadow, trying to break free. They were of course unsuccessful in their attempt. It was like pulling at smoke for them."That's enough."
