Kiran's P.O.V.Percy and I stared at each other for a while in complete silence. It was like we were having a stare down of sorts that I planned on winning. "I'd hate me too, if I was in your shoes." Percy broke the silence, but not the stare. "Glad you understand." I gritted. "Do you want to do like Zae suggested?" He asked, leaning back. "Zae? You mean Zerena?" I furrowed my brows. What kind of nickname is Zae? "Yes. Do you want to go spar or not?" He lost his patiences with me finally. "Let's go." I got off the bed, determined to lead the way. He was like a shadow following close behind and giving off an eerie air behind me. I held my chin up high and continued to stride to where Tate took me to train the first time I was here. I feel like I've gotten to know these pack lands better than I should. A few minutes later we arrived at the spot. There were of course a lot of people here training, but Tate caught my eye. He jogged over to meet us just outside. "What's up?" Tate
Zerena's P.O.V.'I think we've reached a sort of peace. Come back?' Percy linked me. 'He's cooking and I see why you've put him in charge of making dinner in the future. It smells fu.cking amazing.'I laughed still laying on the shadow realm floor, feeling utterly exhausted from Shade's lesson. Controlling the dark is definitely the hardest thing I have tried to do. It's entirely different from controlling shadows, yet eerily similar. It confused me and drained me all at once. 'Take a break. We'll continue later.' Shade told me. I emerged from Percy's shadow, taking a seat beside him, watching Kiran cook. He hadn't noticed I was here, and I motioned for Percy to keep quiet. "I still don't know if I like you that much, Percy, but I'm willing to try. I see how much this has tormented you, and that fact alone makes me feel better about it. Zerena may have forgiven you quickly, but I won't, for her sake." Kiran spoke with his back turned. "For my sake?" I asked him, with a brow raised.
I pulled my hand out of Al's when the familiar setting of the colony settled in around us. "Follow me, princess." Al smirked, leading the way to a large building in the center of the colony, where the sun shone the brightest. I followed silently, keeping my head held high even when all eyes seemed to be following my every move. I could hear their whispers with my sensitive ears. "That's the Watts girl they found." "I heard she was being sex trafficked. Imagine." "I heard she's really powerful, but that she's insane. She has some kind of mental illness." I rolled my eyes at their comments and just kept walking behind Al. They can say what they want, I couldn't care less. Al opened the door to the building for me and I cautiously stepped inside, admiring the glass work all around. The place was so damn bright I could barely feel the shadows here. There were veins wrapped around the four columns surrounding the circular center with a slew of dark roses. "Welcome Zerena Watts. You
"And I thought I was fu.cked up." May's Irish accent surprised the hell out of me as she suddenly whispered to me, pointing in front of us to Nick, who had now taken the lead following Axel."You are." I laughed, because this girl was pure chaos in a small tan body. Nick turned to look at us, allowing me a better look at his face. He had dark tan skin from working on the farm all his life. He had jet black hair, like most people here, buzzed short all around and left long on top. He kept it styled back with pomade, because he doesn't like his hair blocking his field of vision. He had dark brown eyes and they stared at me with curiosity. I stuck my tongue out at him mockingly and he scowled. "You sure you want to poke that beast?" May asked, amused. "From what you know about me now, what do you think?" I asked her, curious to see how much is seen and felt about me from this bond. "I think you want to poke that beast about 100 times more." She laughed, and she wasn't wrong. Al foll
Percy's P.O.V. She's okay. She's fine. She's her. Nothing is going to happen to her. I kept repeating to myself as another possible future played in my head. This time Isaac doesn't bind her, but kills her. She's fine. She's okay. She'll be okay.I focused my thoughts away from the dark possibilities and thought of the future that Zaezae has envisioned for us. It seems to be the only thing keeping me grounded. I know she left and I know she's picking a party right now. I know that she'll be back tonight and she'll be just fine, but the worry of the future changing isn't letting me go. She'll be okay.I stopped pacing and fell back on the bed. Tate will knock on my door to ask if I'm ready in about 30 seconds, and I'm honestly not, but I'll tell him that I am. I'll tell him that I'm ready for the sake of the future I saw when I decide to go with them. I sighed again, really hating going out. Being in crowded places only makes my visions worse. I'll end up with a migraine by the en
Kiran's P.O.V.I watched as Jason grabbed our waitress' wrist, pulling her back and having her fall on his lap. He looked down at her with a smirk and she blushed timidly. I kind of felt bad for the girl, being put through this for a dare. She went to get up, but Jason cupped her face with his hand, causing her to freeze. She didn't seem upset about it. Jason is a very handsome guy and it's to his advantage right now. The waitress just kept her eyes locked on Jason's as he rubbed his thumb over her cheek, sweetly. He smiled at her again and just like that a minute had passed with her on his lap. He leaned forward and whispered into her ear. "Sorry, darling, please forgive me." She blushed, nodding her head, embarrassed a bit by what just happened. She got off his lap so fast you would think Jason's crotch was on fire under her. "Easy." He said again with a smug smirk. "My turn. Who's next?" Jason looked around the table, challenging us. I was about to rise to the challenge when P
Zerena's P.O.V.I woke up on a cot surrounded by green fabric. I was in a tent, but had no idea how I got here. I sat and found May still unconscious on the cot beside me, hooked to a bag of blood. I guess Nick really took that much out of her. Creepy dude that one. Nick was sitting on a cot across from May, watching me. Our eyes met and I made a point not to be the first to look away. Can't show this guy an ounce of fear that's for sure. He finally looked away when someone stepped into the tent. He was more curious, than I, to see who it was. "Watts, wasn't expecting you to be up already." Axel's voice came from the entrance. I looked at him remembering how hard I hit his manhood. The corner of my lips twitched up a bit at the memory. "Something funny, Watts." "You could say that. So what now? Can I go?" I asked, noticing the night sky behind him. It had gotten late while I was out. I wonder what time it is now. Is Kiran back from guys night yet? "Normally we keep our new members
We didn't get much sleep last night with the insatiable hunger we had for one another. We had done it two more times before I was too tired to continue. Kiran had rubbed my sore muscles after, causing me to drift off into the deepest sleep of my life. "Good morning, beautiful." His raspy voice aroused me from my slumber. "Mmm, 5 more hours." I complained, causing Kiran to chuckle. "People tend to say 5 more minutes not hours." He teased. "I'm not people.""I am sorry I kept you up so late." He kissed my bare shoulder from behind me, sending goosebumps down my back. "I'm not. Last night was amazing." I finally opened my eyes, turning to look at his handsome face. Freaking underwear model looking mother fu.cker. "Good, because I can't seem to get enough of you." He nuzzled his head into my neck, pulling me closer. A knock on the door interrupted our tender moment and we both sighed. Kiran got up, pulling some sweatpants over his naked body. I made sure to pull the covers up highe
