Chapter 24

I opened my eyes to a room glowing with little light coming from a lamp located at the right side of the bed.

I rolled my eyes in confusion wondering where I was, my head still ached alot.

I could feel a slight weakness in my body as I placed my hand over my forehead.

The door opened and a lady walked in, I could barely see her face nor what she was wearing since the room was dark.

"Switch the lights on please" I said feeling irritated by the darkness of the room.

The lights came on.

I sat up gasping, I was back to Mr.Chancy's house, in the same room Stella had claimed was her mother's.

I rubbed my hands over my eyes, I could hear my stomach grumbling, I was so hungry.

"Are you feeling better ma'am?" The lady asked me.

I looked up at her face, she was the same lady I saw in my dream the other day who had come to call me for dinner.

I nodded looking away, frightened by the thought of that horrible dream.

"What happened to me?" I
