CHAPTER 14

My skin turned cold as I lay on the tiled floor. I chose to ignore the

coldness, despite the shivering and clenching sound of my teeth

I was not conscious of my environment, perhaps that was the

effect of the cold. All I knew was that I was in my bedroom.

“Help! Help! Somebody, help!” a loud voice rang in my room.

I heard the sound of footsteps rushing into my room, but I was too

tired to react.

and expecting me to react. They made muffling sounds, and I couldn’t understand what was going on.

Slowly, I opened my eyelids to get a better view of

what might have caused the screaming I heard earlier.

“She is awake!” One of them said I couldn’t tell who it was.

I looked at myself to see my nightwear drenched in a red fluid.
