Chapter 34 (A man from the past)

Raymond's POV

“Has anyone seen my shaving cream?” I asked, yanking the door to my room and walking in.

My eyes scanned the dark room in search of any form of life but found none. The room was a dark one, poorly illuminated by a single candle Stick.

“What the hell happened to the light?” I whispered as I reached for the switch and turned it on. The blinding rays of the light rushed to my eyes and squinted, allowing my pupils to get accustomed to the rays.

In the corners of the room, Elena was seated. She was lost in thoughts as her gaze focused on her reflection in the curved mirrors.

“Elena?” I called out with surprise etched all over my face.

Unfortunately, my voice was met with no response. Tears strolled down her cheeks, falling effortlessly without restraint.
