Confrontation

Aliya got to the office but the matter has already exploded. The media had gotten the information and was about to publish but she barely managed to stop them, there were whispers among the employees and shareholders were already calling to ask questions.

This hadn’t happened by accident, someone was working in the dark and their target was the company. The company had just survived a crisis, they couldn’t afford another one. Did her father really offend someone he shouldn’t have or was it Aiden? He said he wouldn’t take action if she married him, but then again, he never promised her. So many thoughts ran through Aliya’s mind as she worked. By the time she finished, it was late and she was exhausted. She still had to ask Aiden about it just to be sure.

She got home and everywhere was different, there were so many guards than usual, the security was much as though something happened.
