Mag-log inRonnakrit's Pov
I ducked under the table, a triumphant smile touching my lips. The hard part was over; the target was dead. Now I just had to get out of here alive.
" Protect Mr Det!" I heard.
Wow... This is another chance for me to just get out of here alive. Another ticket out of this place. As long as I am with him, his guards would save me as well.
I pulled the pin on a tear gas canister, and rolled it immediately. Afterwards, I grabbed the guy, which I think is Mr Det. Helping him out of the office.
As soon as we got out, we were met with a group of men in blacks pointing their guns at us.
This is really a tough spot.' My blood ran cold. We were cornered
Realizing they were all focused on him and Det, I retrieved Another dagger from my jacket, aiming at the chandelier.
And it was perfect. The rope used to held it cut and the chandelier fell onto them.
A grim smile of satisfaction tugged at my lips. Thankfully, the elevator was right beside us. So we both quickly stepped in.
With a swift move, I pressed the button for the lowest level. And that was it, we've escaped the first stage.
I stared at the man for a slight moment. He was my escape chance, and I could not bear to lose him to the Casino.
" Who sent you?" He asked.
I didn't even look at him. I just prepared four daggers with a tiny iron line on them, this were the last of my daggers for the day, and I couldn't afford to lose them.
After the four iron line were tied to the four daggers. I began swirling them around vertically.
" I am talking." He asked once again.
" Watch your mouth." My voice was cold and sharp.
As soon as it dinged, the door slowly slide open. And as I have anticipated, they were many guards waiting to kill us.
I lunged the four daggers at once. Strong, sharp and precise. It dug through four men's heart at once.
Beside me, Det brought out a gun, each shot found a man's skull.
I skillfully retracted the tiny lines which held the daggers. And with each step I took, I made sure my daggers sank into a man's chest.
With a sharp move, I lifted an already dead body to shield my self from bullets. Which the man beside me did the same.
And slowly, we fought our way toward the exit, step by bloody steps. And I also made sure to kill both heavy guards at the main door, by sinking my daggers into their neck.
Afterwards, I took Det to my bike. And immediately, I sped out of the casino...
It was already late at night. My mind drifted back to Pawat and Grandma. I wonder they are okay.
I pull off the face mask covering my nose all along, before stoping infront of a filling station.
" You can come down now." I raked my hands through my hair.
" May I know you? I also need your contact info." He asked stretching his phone forward.
" Not a chance." I said driving off immediately.
As soon as I got home, I climbed into my room through the window. I checked my pocket for my phones. And it was no where to be found.
" Where did I keep those?" I murmured.
Then it dawned on me. I have forgotten my phone in that damn basket. Shit.
I jumped out of the window once again, heading back to the casino....
As I arrived at the casino I figured the dead guards were already replaced. And the place was already cleaned.
'Maybe the target's son didn't want people to know so he cleaned the place'
My eyes scanned the area keenly. As soon as I set eyes on the basket of phones, a wild thought resonated.
I still had one explosive charge left. I didn't plan to use it, but desperation breeds innovation.
I circled the block, finding a service alley behind the casino. A dumpster, a loading dock... and a few parked cars. I attached the charge to the underside of a car far from the building, set a timer for two minutes, and slipped into the shadows near the front.
The blast was deafening. Not enough to destroy, but enough to shatter windows and create panic. As I predicted, the two new guards at the front door, along with everyone else on the street, ran toward the source of the explosion.
For ten seconds, the entrance was unguarded. I was a ghost, in and out, the two phones snatched from the basket in a heartbeat. I melted back into the night before the guards even returned...
I got into the bathroom to wash all the blood stains off my body. Also I made sure to clean up my dress...
The sun quickly rose from the east that morning. I jumped out of bed, rushing out of my room.
I hadn't check up on Pawat ever since I came home.
" Pawat?" I called.
But there was no answer. "Pawat?" I called again.
I headed towards the kitchen, but paused as the voice resounded behind me. " Where have you been?"
" What do you mean?" I asked. Sharply turning towards him.
" I mean exactly what I said." His voice was stern. " Do you know what even happened at home last night?" Tears welled up in his eyes.
" Huh..." I was clearly dumb founded.
" Do you even know what happened to Grandma? How many times I called your name? Or even, do you have any ideas about what happened to me?" He kept bombarding me with questions.
I scanned all over his body, and the sight of whip marks all over him. Tears rolled down my eyes.
My knees buckled and I landed on them. " I am sorry." My voice shaky.
I deeply regretted not being around last night. " I am sorry." My voice shaky.
" What do you mean you are sorry? Go check on Grandma and see if your damn sorry can fix anything." He said
Panic crept up in my chest, I jumped to my feet to check out what he really mean. My legs nearly slid out from under me on the stairs. I finally burst into her room.
"No!"
The sight stole the air from my lungs. Grandma lay perfectly still, but her body was rigid, a statue of terror. Her eyes, usually hazy with sickness, were now wide and darting, seeing monsters in the empty corners of the room.
A low, continuous moan vibrated in her throat—a sound of pure, animal fear I had never heard from her before. It was the sound of a soul being broken.
I rushed to her, cradling her head on my thigh, trying to gentle her tremors. "Granny, it's me! It's Krit! You're safe now," I pleaded, my voice cracking.
But her gaze stared right through me, lost in a nightmare I hadn't been there to stop. My sorry wasn't just for leaving her; it was for whatever she had endured that shattered her mind while I was off playing assassin.
Det's PovMy whole body froze. I blinked twice trying to understand what he had just said. " What?" I asked, leaning forward, my head tilted slightly. " You heard me pretty clearly, Det." Sila said, his voice was low. " There's no repeating the same thing over and over again." He blurted. " Tell him to leave." My voice was cold. I pressed my palm flat on the table, my lips curled up slightly. " Get out," my voice was cold. He nodded continuously, rolling his eyes. His hands in his pocket as he turned to leave. He dragged himself outside my office. But, I could see him linger around through the glass. What was he looking for?ーI asked myself. My ex had no reason to come here. But, if he did... What made him come back?...I had spent most of my time in my office. And Ronnakrit never came back. It was getting late already, he still didn't show up. Not even his brake light, nor Porsche's. I picked up my phone dialing his phone number. My eyes glued on the phone, while it kept buzzing a
Det's PovAs soon as those words slipped through his lips, my jaw dropped. I blinkedーonce, twice, thriceーbut none was helping for enough clarity. " What did you just say?" I asked, my voice was barely audible. " You heard me right, Det." He said, his voice was almost cold. My jaw dropped. I gulped down my saliva. This wasn't the same Krit I knew. Krit doesn't sound this cold when speaking. I wanted to speak, but kept quiet. There was nothing I could say anymore. The images from that night flashed across my eyes. The way I had held him. Those kisses. The way I had slipped my tongue through his lips, everything just replayed behind my head. There was no way I was falling for another guy. No way. It was not possible. It couldn't happen. But, it was all a bluff, I was already in it. I stared into his eyes, his long hair played across his face. I licked my lips, "You don't need to return the money," I said. " Since you're back, our old deal is still on. Be my bodyguard, and you can d
Ronnakrit's PovMy heart skipped a bit. My jaw dropped, I raised my left eyebrow. I lifted my eyes to look at him, then back at the photo he gave to me." Why do you want to kill him?" I asked, There was no way I'm gonna kill Det's father. Not now not in. The near future. I can't kill Anant. Even if he wasn't the good type, his son still held Pawat in his custody. And my grandma? She was one of the reasons I didn't want to act irrationally. " You don't get to question me." He said, his voice was cold. " You do the work... Or?" He paused, He didn't speak, but his hands moved. He signalled the guy beside me. And instantly, he clicked his gun. Ready to shoot. I turned my head, looking above my shoulder. " I will do it." I paused, my mind racing with so many possibilities. "On one condition." I blurted. " Wise one," he smirked. His face slightly folded. " Go on." " You pay me half the payment before I embark on the journey. We're looking at 50m" I said, my voice cold. I tilted my he
Ronnakrit's Pov“I'm giving you that chance to choose.” He said, “ I love your body. You get raped, and killed. Or, you just work with me. There won't be any rape. You will work, and get paid.” His voice was cold. He trailed the cold rim of the pistol around my head. The next second, it felt more like my life was just going off the next second.I raised my eyes to look at him. Lowering it the next second. I tried to stretch myself longer with the help of the ropes around my hands. But, I was already weak. I let out a low groan. “ I don't wanna work with you.” I said, he can't be serious about the rape. He can't,he won't rape me. I know that really well. And I know one thing for sure. He can't be serious about the rape. Not now, not ever. He is not serious about it. “ Well, it seems you die after all.” He smirked. Looking into my eyes, I watched as he told his men to come carry me. And yeah, that was the last thing I saw at that moment as I slowly succumbed into the darkest abyss.
Det's PovI stepped into my office, lowering my head to look at the floor. My mind was racing with many questions. It has been three days now ever since Dagger came to ask me about Krit. And I was shocked. Many questions kept racing in my mind, I just didn't understand one thing. Maybe it's never a thing. What was their deal? How did they know each other? I went straight to my chair, his words playing at the back of my head. I sat right on the chair, my eyes caught the red envelope. At that moment, something clicked in my head. There was no way I could live without Krit. He had the key to solving the mystery about this whole envelope stuff and I had let him go all because of my stupidity. Damn, how do I settle things now, there was no way I could get him back. My mind drifted back to what Dagger had saidーif he should not find him in the next seven days then he will kill me.My life was on the line. I was a strong one, but when it comes to Dagger… even my father can't do anything.
Ronnakrit's PovI didn't understand what was happening, I didn't understand the idea, the scope. My background was like a little show that doesn't rhyme with my own current life. And it was killing me. I was just seeing faces that make me question what I really know about my background.“ What?”she said, she opened her mouth to speak again… The next second, her head exploded. Blood splattered across the room. I watched as she slowly landed flat on the floor, my mouth wide open. I didn't understand what was happening, but I knew that for sure she was already dead. And I am the cause of it. I didn't wait, I sprinted out of the shop. My legs were pretty fast, flying across the tarred floor almost touching the back of my head. My mind wasn't stable. I was just grateful that these stupid people were using silent guns. It saved my ears from bleeding and going numb again. Before I could take the sharp corner in front of me, I felt a strong force collide with my head. My vision blurred imm

Ronnakrit's PovYou could imagine how hard my heart had raced as soon as she mentioned his name. I felt my whole world begin to crumble. If the dagger himself was following me, would he want to take my life? Multiple questions kept playing at the back of my head as I just stared at the oldie in fr
Ronnakrit's PovIn a blur motion, I landed another slap across his face. " I'm done." He pointed my finger at him. " I... I..." He stuttered, unable to utter a correct word. " You can't leave." He said, his voice cold. I was stunned at that moment, isn't he the same person who was just stuttering
