LOGINTrigger Warnings This book contains sexual harassment, bullying and trauma. …………………………………….. "Sir what are you doing?" I tried to wiggle myself out of the situation but his hold on me tightened. "Don't act like you don't know what I am doing, you were asking for it." He swiftly turned me over, lifting me up like a bag of chips and placed me on the table. "Mr Reginald please stop, I don't want this." I tried my best to push him off, my hands pressed to his chest. "Stop acting like you don't want me, I know you do. If you didn't, you wouldn't be flirting with me." "I wasn't flirting with you sir, I came to your office because you sent for me, all I wanted to do is sign the form and leave." I explained desperately while trying to free myself from him. "Coming to see me dressed like this, aren't you just looking to get fucked?" His hands grabbed my almost bare ass. …….. I have always hated mirrors, they always told the same story, thin shoulders, a narrow chest and messy red hair that refuses to lie flat no matter how much water I use on it.
At twenty one, in a school that I never really belong to, I still look like the type of guy teachers asked to carry books rather than someone anyone took seriously.
Most people at my formal school barely noticed me but to be honest, I actually liked it that way, it's quiet and safe with no drama.
But, the moment I started schooling at Aetherhold Academy and living with my three roommates, Jordan, Macmillan and Orlando, invisibility became something hard for me.
Aetherhold Academy is an Academy meant for powerful people, people with supernatural powers, however I have nothing, I can’t even command a spoon to stir up my cereal.
I was invited by the school for mysterious reasons that I don’t know.
Being the only human around powerful people made me a thing of bullying.
I don’t mind though, I’d rather get bullied at school than stay home with my parents and plus I was given a full scholarship with monthly stipends and health insurance.
I was paired up with three powerful alphas with extraordinary abilities, my roommates.
Jordan is actually no different from me, he is just as nerdy as I am, well maybe not as nerdy as I am but he is a nerd too only he has powers and I don’t.
He has red hair and freckles like sand on the beach.
Just like me, he has a slender build and he is really kind to me.
Jordan can control time, he can rewind time and make time slow down and stop.
The school is teaching him to go back into the past, so he wouldn’t only be able to rewind time by a few minutes.
And there's Macmillan, an athlete with blonde hair.Macmillan is from a very wealthy family, sometimes I wonder why he decided to live in a room with us when he can always ask for a room just for himself but instead he decided to stay with three other guys.
Macmillan is warm and outgoing, he is so tall, I don't like standing next to him because it makes me feel invisible and I know it's contradictory to what I said earlier about wanting to be unnoticed.Macmillan’s ability is called Ink of unmaking, he named it himself.
Macmillan can write anything anywhere and will it to become real. He can write silence in the air and sound vanishes completely for a hundred yards.
And there's Orlando, he is so handsome, sometimes I feel like he is a Greek god or something.I have this huge crush on him, I know it's stupid and hopeless.
I can't let him know, else he'll hate me, he already acts cold and has this aloof personality, I don't want it to be worse.
Orlando is just as tall as Macmillan but he has a leaner build while Macmillan has a powerful physique.
Orlando is just as powerful as the others,he can control the day and the weather.
Orlando can make day turn to night, he can make rain fall and sun shine, he can evoke a storm.
He can do anything that has to do with the weather.
One time he evoked a hurricane, class was canceled that day because he couldn’t make it stop.Their powers are so cool, living with them makes life a little bit fun even though Orlando can be cold sometimes or maybe all the time.
The beeping sound of my phone pulled me out of my pool of thoughts, I pulled it out of my pocket and turned off the alarm I had set.
It was time for me to leave, I have a tutoring session somewhere down town.
I grabbed my bag in the room and was about to leave when Jordan stopped me.
"Aiden it's chilly outside, take a hoodie." He said and that's when I realized I wasn't wearing one.
"Thank you Jordan." I smiled back at him as I raced to my side of the room and grabbed a hoodie.
"Be careful out there," I heard him say as I closed the door behind me.
Tutoring people is something I like to do, not that I like helping people or anything, it's quite the opposite.
It's because I like numbers more than I like people. Typical nerd behavior, I know.
I finally reached the subway, I stood by a pillar, almost glueing myself to it because I was trying to avoid people.
My fingers were wrapped tightly around the sling of my bag, I tried to focus on the music in my ears and forget about the people standing around me also waiting for the train.
Rush hour on the subway is always a mistake, I hate moments like this, in fact I hate taking the subway but I have no choice because it's cheap.
The moment the doors shut, the crowd starts pressing closer, bodies squeezing together until breathing becomes difficult for me.
I stood near the door, ready to bolt out of here when the train stops.
The ride was going as usual until two sweaty bodies decided it was okay to sandwich me.
I tried to get out of the disgusting situation and luckily for me, I am slender and petite, it was easy to pull myself out of the situation.
However, now I am standing in between five different people, no way to go left, right, up or down.
The music in my ears became irrelevant because I couldn't concentrate on it so I pulled out my earphone and shoveled it into my pocket.
All of a sudden I felt a hand grab my ass, at first I thought it was because of the crowd and the person didn't mean it but then it happened again.
I traced the owner of the hand, it was a man in a black suit, he looks like a businessman, a human.
I twisted my shoulders slightly, trying to move away but there was nowhere to go.
Bodies pressed around me from every direction.
I swat his hand away hoping he'll get the memo that I am not interested but he didn't stop.
I swatted it again and again but he became aggressive, grabbing me so hard that a whimper left my lips.
I could feel my heart trembling in my chest, my toes pinned down in my sandals.
This brought back terrible memories, memories I had locked away for years.
I bit my trembling lips, holding back my tears because men don't cry, I have been told that all my life.
I tried one more time, I swatted his hand again and silently prayed with my two fingers crossed that he'll stop but he didn't, the situation worsened instead.
I felt the vibration of my pants being torn apart before feeling his strong and disgusting hand fishing its way into the opening.
He grabbed my almost bare butt.
I looked around wishing and praying someone would notice something was wrong and would intervene but nothing like that happened.
It's moments like this that make me hate the fact that I am invisible to the people outside of school.
I shut my eyes and endured what was happening.
The distance between the station is exceptionally long, which means I'll have to endure this for a while.
I felt his finger propping my hole, he wasn't trying to force his finger in, just caressing it.
I bit my lip harder, until I tasted the metallic taste of blood.
I felt disgusted, it was like a lump had formed in my throat and it has refused to go down or come out..
The moment the train stopped and the doors opened, I practically ran out, not caring if I bumped into people or not.
All I wanted to do was free myself from the situation.
I ran and didn't look back, I didn't care to know if the man was following me or not...
Author's POV THE NEXT DAYAiden continued his self-defense lessons with Macmillan. Today’s focus was on vital spots to strike when someone attacked him.Macmillan stood before Aiden, back facing him, and wrapped the smaller man’s arm around his own neck.“Let’s say someone was holding you like this. What you want to do is..." Macmillan used his elbow to tap lightly against Aiden’s ribs, the touch gentle. “...use your elbow like this, but with enough force.”He demonstrated another move, pressing the heel of his foot gently against Aiden’s. “You can also use the heel of your foot on his leg, like this.”“What if the person is quick to deflect my moves?” Aiden asked.“That’s a good question. You can also use the back of your head to hit his nose or head.”“Isn’t that going to cause me pain? What if I end up with a concussion?” Aiden asked, already imagining the impact.“It’s going to hurt, but it’ll make your captor release you because he’ll be in pain too,” Macmillan explained.“Is th
Author’s POV: A FEW HOURS AGOWhile Aiden rested peacefully in his room, his three protectors gathered in the living room, engaged in an intense conversation about him.“I have noticed that I am not the only one who has feelings for Aiden,” Macmillan began.“And while in this house it has become something less hidden, it’s like all of us are trying to make him like us while helping him gain control over his ability.” he added.“We are all friends, and I wouldn’t want any issues between us because of Aiden. So, for our peace of mind, I want you all to back off,” Orlando said firmly.“Why should we back off? Why don’t you back off?” Macmillan fired back. “I have loved Aiden since day one, when he first walked into our room. I deserve to be with him.”“It doesn’t matter who fell first or who loved him first,” Jordan interjected. “What matters is who he loves. Who is Aiden into among us all?”His question silenced both Orlando and Macmillan. Jordan continued, “We can’t just make decisions
Aiden’s POVThe next morning, the warm sunlight spilled through the curtains and gently pulled me from sleep. My body still ached, but the bruises had darkened to deep purples and blues overnight. I dressed in light swim trunks and a loose tank top before heading downstairs. The guys were already waiting for me in the living room, their faces lighting up the moment I appeared.“There’s our boy,” Jordan said, his voice warm and teasing. He crossed the room in two strides and pulled me into a gentle hug, careful of my sore spots. His large hand rubbed slow circles on my lower back, sending pleasant tingles across my skin.Macmillan appeared beside us with a wide smile and pressed a travel mug of something sweet and fruity into my hands. “Fresh mango smoothie. Drink up, you’re going to need the energy.” He leaned in and placed a soft kiss on my temple, his lips warm against my skin.I must be dreaming, why did he kiss me? I am not complaining, I love it but why?Orlando didn’t say mu
Aiden’s POV“That’s it, you’re doing great, Aiden,” Macmillan gushed, clapping proudly as I punched and kicked the heavy sandbag he’d set up for me. Each solid thud echoed across the training area, the rough fabric scraping against my knuckles with every strike. After resting for half an hour, we returned outside to continue my self-defense lessons. Macmillan had been endlessly patient, just like the others. Even when I fumbled a move, he bit back any laughter and gently corrected me.I guess he had learned from his earlier mistake.“Have I gotten the hang of it yet?” I asked, panting like an overheated dog, chest heaving.“Just a little more practice and you’ll be good to go. I still need to teach you the vital points to strike when someone’s on top of you or holding you from behind,” he replied.I glanced down at myself. My shin bone was mottled with faint bruises and dusted with fine sand that clung to my sweat-slicked skin. My arms were flushed red and bruised, the skin hot and t
