20: Won't Give Up Now

I stared at the rose imprinted on my upper arm, exasperated. The rose was still a bright red, fortunately for me. Just as I started to turn away from the mirror, I saw the rose turn blue. Then, it turned red as quickly as it had turned blue.

Another wave of dizziness washed over me and I gripped the sink hard, my knuckles turning white.

After a few seconds, the dizziness eased enough for me to walk out of the bathroom. When I walked into the bedroom, I found Blair sitting on my bed. She smiled when she saw me.

"Lorenzo stopped by while you were still in the bathroom" she said and I slowly lowered myself onto the couch in my room.

"Did he find out anything?" I asked and she sighed.

"Not exactly"
