Chapter Fifteen[Stallone comes to rescue her]

Chapter Fifteen [Stallone comes to rescue her]

On December 31, at exactly midnight, the audience yelled angrily in Hacienda Buena Gracias of the Coronels'family. The emcee, Mr. Apeng, abruptly changed the subject to Jason and Nancy's newly developing relationship and love affairs.

As the emcee declares Nancy and Jason's announced engagement, someone in the audience strongly opposes it, followed by the main adversaries led by Captain Redante Rocafuerte and Rafael Coronel, as well as those paid members to create uproars and sudden blasts like thunderbolts that destroy the event's peace and orderliness.

As the surroundings became completely dark and no one could see each other, the uprising crowds dispersed.

Nancy called out to her mother, “Mommy!”

While waiting for the lights to turn on, Jason grabs Nancy and encircles her in his arms.

Mommy replied,

"My Baby, I'm here with your kuya Raffy; take care of yourself," Mommy says as her voice fades away due to the tremendous, dispersed, and continuous uproar of people who appeared to be terrified as a result of false data results and black propaganda from previous administrations.

"What exactly happened?"

Nancy inquires loudly, looking for ways to help others in need.

"Aurg, Hurt!" screamed the crowd as authority yelled angrily, "You bastard! You can't fight us. We have power over you, you poor little idiot."

As a strong dripped of liquid overflowed the floor where Nancy and Jason had fallen following the sudden blast, ruthless voices exclaimed. Others slipped down on that wet floor and struggled to stand up amid darkness when the electric power went out.

Nancy notices Jason's grip on her gradually loosening, and she can't smell him anymore after one of his arms grabs her from the darkness while she hears them complaining and calling for help.

Nancy notices Jason's grip on her gradually loosening, and she can't smell him anymore from the darkness while she hears others complaining and calling for help.

Her gaze is drawn away from Jason as the next unknown figure emerges from the shadows and leads her to the outside gate in the middle of the night, her eyes droopy and drowsy.

"Oh God, Lord, my refuge and fortress come near us, and You promise that no terror of the night will fear us if we trust in You and make You our dwelling. This is a disaster, but disaster will not come near me, for You command all Your angels concerning me, to guard me in all my ways."

In her declaration, Nancy stated.

"Where are You, Lord?"

Nancy inquires because she can still hear Jason's soft groaning and moaning and smashing and wriggling sounds all around her. No matter how hard Nancy tries to imagine her surroundings amid the dark chaos, she can't see anything but figures moving around her while she seemed crouching outside the gate.

Nancy comes to a halt as she listens intently, determining every detail as she figures out every inch of sounds and noises that have emerged spontaneously around her surroundings.

She tries to remember how things started. All have a glass of wine offered her by her brother, a special wine for her. She began to feel warm as the wine mixed with the liquid in her circulatory system.

" Everyone, let us start with a coin toss and cheers."She tries to remember how things started. All have a glass of wine offered her by her brother, a special wine for her. She began to feel warm as the wine mixed with the liquid in her circulatory system.

" Everyone, let us start with a coin toss and cheers."

Mr. Apeng announced her engagement to Jason as applause erupted. That is all she remembers before the noises began.

Nancy claims to catch Jason's perfume scents after a while, and her thoughts crept into the back of her mind.

"As the winds carried Jason's scent away,” Nancy noticed, "Jason began to leave me." Her eyes cannot see him in darkness.

"Or is he simply nosing around? All I can hear are noises and sounds," Nancy observed.

Someone approaches her slowly, forcing her to join her two hands as she lies flat on the concrete ground outside that hallway. She tries to identify the person who has shackles on her two hands and a rope tightly wrapped around her frail, stressed-out body.

"What are you doing now, leave me alone!" Nancy yelled.

" Jason, please help me," Nancy begs, "but you are not Jason, I am certain of it." The light remains turned off.

Nancy wriggles incessantly, attempting to free herself from the rope that has become so tightly wrapped around her body.

An hour seems to have gone by slowly. The loud blasts fade away as the commotion dies down as if they were going deeper into her ears until everything is gone that evening. Nancy closes her eyes because she can no longer see anything but blurry until it becomes dark and she loses consciousness, unsure of what caused the sudden chaos following her engagement announcement to her boyfriend Jason Steven Chang.

The sound of clashing cymbals, a sudden blow of the trumpet, and the playing of the flute are followed by the words, "Happy New Year!" Nancy recognizes by a sense that her kuya Raffy is the only one who has that manner as she whispers before her consciousness completely vanishes, "Kuya Raffy,,,”  Nancy whispered.

Nancy is completely unconscious as her body lies flat on the grassy, dark meadows outside the hall's gate, unable to hear the loud, joyful greetings and applauses of everyone in that place as others remain inside the hall. Jason is no longer in the neighborhood.

Nancy's black horse, Stallone, emerges from the shadows after an hour of silence, her unconscious body carried by one of the farmers who attended the gatherings as the crowd fades. The man boarded her and dragged her behind Stallone.

"Stallone, go. Save your beloved mistress from this calamity. Allow her to rest wherever you take her. You must save her from the furious uprising people."

The man says this as he taps him on the neck and covers Nancy with a black cloth to keep her cool in the howling wind. On New Year's Eve, Stallone slowly stepped up in the direction of the streams.

Nancy had spent long hours recumbent on the grassy ground beside the raging, freshwater streams, where she frequently spent her rest hour slumbering on the top of the large rectangular prominent rock in the middle of the streams, that new year's dawn.

Her mother's black silky long dress was already tightly worn out as Stallone feasted on the green, fresh dew grasses and leaves of the trees around her, unconsciously glancing at her while sleeping. The black cloth protects her against cool wind and insect bites.

When Captain Redante Rocafuerte's two maiden escorts wandered around the area after the previous night's public annoyance in which they were most likely involved, Nancy was still unconscious as her horse brought her with his teeth behind the big trunk.

When the two maiden escorts discovered the wondrous streams hidden beneath the woods, they were taken aback. They eagerly stripped off their clothes and dove into the deepest part, relishing the fresh, cool, clear water of the waterfall that originated from the mountain where the volcano had been sleeping for a thousand years.

Stallone can already sense the danger that his mistress might fall into a trap after hearing the water splashing as the two maidens swim joyfully.

Stallone took some branches of a tree with many leaves through his teeth, grabbed them, and covered Nancy's body while she was still unconscious.

Nancy's face was awakened after an hour by the sun glinting in the east and the shadows of swaying leaves as the wind blew. As she opened her eyes wide, the two maidens saw her, smiling in front of her as they slowly uncovered her from the widen spread leaves. Stallone hid behind the big trees watching them.

"Good day, young lady. "The one lady smiles but adds slyly,

"You are supposed to be inside your house but you go somewhere. But we are so lucky to find you here."

Nancy recalls the ladies mocking Jason in the mountain. As one of them intervened.

"We didn't know you well yet because no one told us who you are. But you seem so familiar to us. Anyway, whatever the wind brings you to sleep here alone, you know this is a dangerous place as the wild snakes and creepy tiny animals may attack you."

Nancy decided to play with them as their sweet, alluring voices revealed domineering, instead pushing her long worn-out dress down hard-pressed to cover her white, smooth, long legs and place her flat sandals on her aching toes.

Her face wrinkles as she shows her pain, and she almost wants to snarl at them to tell them she owns the place. However, the thought of playing with their ignorance quickly draws her to continue disguising herself as a stranger.

"They didn't recognize me until now. We've met many times but their eyes seem blinded by their arrogance and eccentricities." Nancy thinks as she grimaces in pain and unease.

"Come on, we are good friends because we are strangers here, just like you. Let us join together and enjoy washing in the streams."

As the other escort nods, one escort invites, adding,

"We're new here. Where do you stay? " She inquires as Nancy gains the confidence to play around and respond.

"I've had terrible nightmares and have fallen into deep slumber here. I'm looking for my companions. But I also wanted to wash in that stream because I'm so uncomfortable after the New Year's blast of fireworks and noises. I ended up here."

Nancy's face is wry, her eyes tired of rolling down, and her body appears sluggish as she moves her two legs to firmly stand up.

"I still need to rest a little. Thank you for the invitation. I will just stay here to wait for my companions." Nancy sat down once more.

"That's your choice. We find you still drowsy. You better stay behind." As they left, turning to swim again, Nancy took the opportunity to flee by crawling to the woods.

Stallone, who was hiding behind the large tree, quickly emerges to meet her. Nancy is overjoyed with his surprise appearance. She quickly jumps over him and moves her two legs pressing his body to tell him to run. However, on the way home, she discovers Jason struggling as he is tightly tied in with a big rope on the large tree trunk.

”Jason,honey! ”

Nancy almost yelled, but then remembered that the two escorts might discover them. She covers her mouth with two hands and whispers,

"What brings you here? I thought you vanished," Nancy says as Jason looks at her gravely.

"The two maiden escorts tied me here last night. Come on, untie me quickly. They will surely come soon."

Nancy grabbed the knife that was attached to Jason's waist and cut the rope until Jason was free.

They both jump over Stallone's back and flee until they reach Jason's tree house in the forest. Nancy let Stallone go freely and escape, as the pair quickly hang with string weeds to hide behind the wide-spread branches of the tallest tree where his tent is created.

After some time, the pair decided to rest and relax after the chaos. They both fell into deep slumber inside the tree house while Stallone was nowhere to be found.

The couple is unaware that the two maiden escorts have been trained to search and play sly games, allowing Nancy to go wherever she wants and tracing her footprints. They discovered the horse's foot marks but were unable to determine whether Nancy was with the horse.

As a result, the two maiden escorts decided to spend more time in the forests investigating and hunting wild animals. The two maidens decided to erect a tent for temporary shelter after working long hours.

Jason, on the other hand, became restless. He took his binoculars and looked around, and he discovered their plans down the hill near the streams. He looks at Nancy, who is still sleeping, gently touches her to wake her up, and says,

"You should avoid going near the creek where you frequently washed because the two maidens had set up a tent beside it."

Nancy abruptly reacted as Jason said it, with a grimace she said,

" that's ridiculous, they have no right to stay in my land. “

Nancy expressed her rage, adding,

"I am not afraid of their presence, but I am prepared to counter-attack their arrogant dominance over my land."

She growls as she takes Jason's binoculars and peers inside. She snarled and then spoke.

"What the hell! "I need to figure out how to repeal them." Jason looked at her, calculating her measures of fighting in the battleship area, which included playing games with the enemies to determine their weakest points.

"Please don't be offended if I can assist you in winning the battle. Your enemies were correct when they said you were a child as a warrior." Jason began to be more direct with his beloved fiancée now.

As she bursts out and furiously attacks him while growling, he strikes her weakest point and hidden childish characteristics and attitude.

"You cunning sleuth!" Who do you think you are to tell me what I am? I am going to be a lawyer once I pass the bar exam. I can file many charges against them and put them in jail for life."

She yelled, recalling how he mocked her with that maiden escort while they were with the mountain people a few days ago. It was Jason's 30th birthday. Nancy reflected. She began to hide her grumpy attitude due to overwork and fatigue.

As Jason closes his eyes and places both hands on his ears, Nancy realizes she must stop because he will no longer listen to her arrogant behavior.

He is not hurt, but Nancy needs to learn to think before she speaks. He chooses to remain silent as he slowly lowers his two feet to kneel and then drops to a sitting position on the floor.

Nancy understands what he is trying to show her when he moves to lie flat on the side and snores.

"How else do you expect me to react if I don't point out that I am not an idiot for tolerating their activities?"  Nancy continues to nag in anger, not against Jason, but to express her emotional distress over the situation.

"Anyway, where were you last night? " Nancy recalls asking Jason, but Jason chooses not to respond, instead pretending to sleep as he snores louder.

" Come on, we're both in that gathering, and you know I was set up. I'm wondering where you were last night. "Nancy becomes grumpy and insists on knowing what she wants to know, even though it irritates her Fiancé.

Jason is still very quiet after an hour. Nancy works hard to regain her composure while Jason observes her nagging behaviors.

Nancy is only aware of her feelings. She is furious because she is unable to move on to her elder brother and his friends.

That is what Jason means by his quietness. Nancy needs to rest to be calm. But he can't let Nancy be alone in her agony, so when he sees her alone in one corner near the openings where she can look out for distance. He smiles and waits until she decides to come closer to her and requests his assistance.

Jason understands that Nancy cannot fight alone. However, she must listen carefully and strictly follow his instructions because he is aware of her opponents' plans to remove her from the elected position that was legally and authenticated with her father's last will. However, he cannot reveal this information to Nancy to avoid further conflicts within her family.

” Listen! Are you at ease now? " Jason approaches Nancy again, staring at her beautiful face while smiling and his heart pumping with blood, making his heart beat faster.

"That is what I love and adore about you, honey, even though you reacted to me as a tough guy," Jason whispers as he places his hands on her chin and tenderly kisses her lips, adding,

"You know how much I love you, and I wanted to help you get out of that miserable situation," Jason explains. Nancy begins to cry, tears streaming down her pretty cheek. Jason wipes them away with his fingers and kisses her again.

"Believe me, honey. You are still a child as a warrior. You still have a lot of rice and bread to eat to get your master's degree and win the battle against ruthless opponents," Jason says repeatedly.

"Do you agree? " Nancy inquires modestly, adding,

"What should I do to become victorious in this arena, honey?”

Nancy watches as he removes his helmet, revealing his half-shoulder long wavy brown hair.

"You are a sleuth. Teach me how to be like you," Nancy begged. Jason shook his head, disagreeing.

"Mine is a dirty business, honey. You are a decent woman to me. I wanted you to be my  decent wife and a mother with dignity for my children and as my life partner." Jason explained.
