Chapter 40: Sleeping Together

It was already late in the afternoon when they finished unpacking and dividing the supplies. Inside the tent, rows of packed goods and clothes were arranged neatly on the ground.

Everly looked at their finished task and clapped cheerfully. "Dr. Lee, look, we finished everything!"

Dr. Lee just smiled. "Let's go out. I think they are already preparing for dinner." Everly eagerly nodded.

Outside the tent, there were already a few patients left. Most of the villagers have gone back to their homes already. Chief Thomas and his family stayed with the medical team to prepare dinner. As soon as they walked out, Everly smelled the fragrant soup boiled in the big pot.

"What smell is that?" Everly asked Dr. Lee

Dr. Lee looked over and saw that Mrs. Sally, wife of Chief Thomas, is currently cooking outside. "It must be the food for dinner. That woman cooking is Chief Thomas' wife."

Everly stepped forward hurriedly. "C'mon, that must be very delicious. I'm kinda hungry as well."
