Chapter 4

Sanya...

I went down the stairs and saw that my husband's classmate was already leaving. It's really annoying because this idiot is the reason why someone in school already knows that he is my husband. Did I forget to mention that he's an idiot?

It's true though. Seriously, this guy is beyond foolish. There are plenty of places he could have taken that girl, there's even a library for studying, but he chose to bring her here.

"Hey! Check the bathroom, you might have left your brain there!" I shouted at him, he looked at me sharply. "What? You're looking at me like I'm the problem?"

He took a deep breath and headed straight to the kitchen, grabbing a piece of bread there.

He didn't even bother to answer or acknowledge me, so my eyes narrowed and I immediately followed him, giving him a flick on the ear. "Ouch! What's your problem?"

"Do you want to get beaten again?"

"What's your problem?"

"Didn't I ask you why you brought th-that-"

"She's my groupmate in English class, Lena."

"Yes, whoever she is. But why in the world did you choose to bring that girl to my house out of all places?!" I shouted in his face.

"Sanya, maybe you're forgetting that we're married and what's yours is also mine!" He stood up and I stepped back because he's really tall. "What's the problem if she found out we're married? She promised not to tell, right? Besides, if I come home late, you get mad too. I don't know where I stand with you anymore."

I rolled my eyes at him. "I get mad at you for coming home late because there's no one here in the house, especially at night when I come home."

"Oh, so you think I'm a guard? The house has a key, and are you the only one allowed to come home late?"

"You're really stupid, you don't even have friends at school, so what's the reason for coming home late?"

"Hey! Who told you I don't have friends? Besides, I have a life outside this house."

"Oh really? Don't try to be funny, Mr. Zhymian," I forced a fake laugh.

"I'm not joking, Mrs. Zhymian."

"What?! Repeat what you just said!" my voice raised when I heard that. Mrs.? Is that an endearment? "What Mrs. are you talking about?"

"Isn't it true that you're really my wife--aaahh--Ouch!" he didn't finish what he was saying because I suddenly grabbed his hair and started pulling it. "What's wrong? Let go of me!"

"Damn you, knowing and calling me Mrs. as if you have the right!" I slammed him against the kitchen refrigerator.

"Ouch, what's wrong? Be grateful you're a woman, or else I wouldn't let you get away with it."

"Oh really?" I smiled and pinched his ear, his ear and whole face turning red. I brought my face closer to his. "Oh, does it hurt, baby boy?"

I was teasing him, and suddenly he grabbed my hand and brought it closer to him, I lost my balance and almost slipped, but he caught me, I slowly removed my hand from his ear and I just stared into his eyes.

Wait, why does it feel like this guy is touching me? I looked at the side my thigh and there was his hand, I immediately tapped it and hit him and pinched him again. "You pervert!"

Suddenly the door opened and I saw Kyra and Alexa. "I wonder what's going on here?"

"This brat is shameless!" I yelled while he was cursing and cursing.

"Did he try to assault you?" Kyra's eyes widened, and she came over and kicked his lower leg.

"Ouch! You guys are so mean!" he shouted.

I saw that Alexa was already swinging the baseball bat she was carrying and Kyra and I both moved away, "You really had the guts to take advantage of my friend!" Alexa shouted.

Adam's eyes widened. "No, what is that? Don't!"

"What's going on here?" we all stopped when I saw Adam's Mom at the door and came to us. "What's wrong? Why are you two fighting? Sanya, what is this mess?"

I pretended to be in tears. "Mom, Adam brought a girl here from school, she was in our room."

Kyra and Alexa approached me, pretending to rub my back to comfort me.

"Adam! Is this true?" Mama angrily shouted at Adam.

"Ma! She's just my groupmate in English class, and, well..." he took a deep breath because I knew he couldn't think of any other excuse. It's not like he could say we're in a fake relationship. "...I'm not doing anything wrong, Ma," he explained further.

"What do you mean 'nothing'? You just got married, Zhymian! Even if you say there's nothing, why did you bring your classmate here, and into the bedroom no less?! If you had any sense, wouldn't you care about what we think of you?" Mama came closer to me, and I immediately hugged her.

"Please pardon my son, Mama's here, we won't let him off the hook," she stroked my head and handed something to me. "I just dropped by for this. Your Mom asked me to buy some things, but she can't make it right now, as she's at your resort in Palawan. Apparently, she needs to speak with your father's investors. She asked me to help out."

I smiled, seeing the contents of the paper bag – my groceries and some vitamins. "Thank you, Mama."

"Ma! Am I not your son?" that idiot protested, rubbing his ear.

"Stop it. Behave, Adam, alright? Your wife is such a beautiful girl. You'll be in trouble with your father and me!" we all laughed, including Alexa.

"Alright, I'm leaving now," she gave us kisses on the cheeks and greeted my friends too.

"Goodbye, Aunt. Take care," they said and smiled. I introduced them to Mama during our wedding.

"Okay, I'm off now. Remember what I told you, Adam," she pointed at Adam, and he kissed Mama's cheek.

"Yes, Ma, I'm not like that. Take care," Aunt left, and my friends and I burst into laughter.

"That's what you get. Next time, you better behave, you rascal!" he glared at me and I walked away with Kyra and Alexa – that meant one thing, shopping!

The next day, I was surprised when a girl approached me as I got out of my car. She was the one with Adam at my house yesterday.

"Miss Chrissanya Evangelista?" she smiled at me, and I smiled back.

"What is it that you want?" I asked.

"I want to be a part of the mean girls," she straightforwardly said to me, and I just stared at her in awe. "Well, honestly, I think you guys are really cool, and I don't have any friends here yet because they find me creepy. But I can offer something to you. I can do what you guys want. I can help, especially when it comes to studies and-"

I raised my hand and covered my face with my palm. "Wait, what? You'll help us with our studies? What do you think we are, idiots?"

She shook her head and raised her glasses. "No, don't get me wrong. What I'm trying to say is if you have difficult lessons or things you want to learn, even if it's about doing research papers, projects, I can do that for the three of you."

"Hold on, are you joining our group, or do you want to be our nanny?"

"Huh?"

"You made it sound like we're really mean. We're not like that. We don't rely on others for things we can do ourselves. One thing we don't like is being belittled. Did you really think we would get to our fourth year in college if we're always asking others for help or having things done for us?" I walked away from her.

"Sorry for offending you, I apologize," I faced her again, raising an eyebrow. "I really am sorry."

"If I don't include you, what will you do?"

"Then I have a secret to tell." She smiled, I knew she was going to do that.

"I know. In the first place, I think it's better to have a nerd around us," I grinned, and her eyes widened.

"Does that mean I'm accepted?" She ran to catch up with me.

"Yes, you are, but before you become a full pledged member, you need to learn how to be one of us," she smiled sweetly. "We have rules and regulations, what's your name again?"

"Selena Tora, but you can call me Lena."

I shook my head at her. "That's not nice, it sounds like 'Nene.' Let's call you Tora, like Tiger, right?"

She nodded eagerly. "I'll introduce you to your new friends," I said as I put my arm around her.
