Adam...
IT has been almost a week since that day when we had a fight, and it hasn't happened again because I've been avoiding it.
Sometimes I lock myself in my room or eat outside, and when I'm at school, if I see them coming, I avoid them - Sanya and her friends. I don't want to embarrass myself again.
I'm here now in our English class, and the professor is speaking, but I'm not listening. I was surprised when someone sat beside me and introduced herself.
"Selena Tora, so how are we going to do this?" she asked, and I was dumbfounded. She looked like a nerd, but I was speechless because I didn't understand what she was saying, she rolled her eyes at me.
"You weren't listening. You're my partner, the professor said we need to create a presentation as if we're on a talk show. We'll exchange questions without a script while we're there. It's easy, right?" she asked, raising her eyebrows. I smiled and nodded.
"Okay then, good. Where can we practice? I mean, so we can discuss what we need to do," she asked without looking at me, as if she was reading something.
"At my house," she turned to look at me.
"Why at your house?" she asked again, her eyes widening.
"It's close by, and I usually go home early," she nodded. After this class, it's already dismissal time, so we'll just go straight to my house.
When the bell rang, we quickly left together and headed to my house - our house, Sanya and mine.
"Would you like some juice, iced tea, water, or coffee?" I asked her while she sat on the sofa, reading.
"No, let's start with what we need to do so we can finish early," she said, feeling a bit awkward.
"Let's go to my room then," I said to her. The reason is simple - I don't want her to meet Sanya when she arrives. I'm sure Sanya wouldn't like that, but I'm avoiding Sanya so I want to hide, I also didn't want to come home late because I know that when I do, we'll just end up fighting again.
Selena stood up and threw a book at me.
"Ouch! What was that for? You're acting like-" I almost said she's acting like my wife every time she hurts me. "Why did you do that?" I got irritated, so my voice raised a bit.
"What room? Hey! I'm not like other girls, so-" I covered her mouth because I heard the sound of a car outside, so I knew Sanya was here. I pulled Lena up to my room and locked it, but then she bit my hand.
"Ouch," I restrained myself from screaming.
"You shameless person! I told you it was a mistake to come here, you ra-" I covered her mouth again with my other hand.
"I'm not going to rape you, but I'm not like that," besides, no woman has ever been interested in me, nor have I been interested in anyone. I removed my hand when her tantrum seemed to subside.
"Then why did you bring me here?"
"Shhh..." I put my index finger near my lips to signal her to be quiet.
"Why?" her voice softened.
"My wife arrived," her eyes widened.
"You're married?" she asked in a whisper, and I nodded. "Then why are you hiding here? Are you stupid? She might suspect that I'm your mistress. Maybe you cheated, right? You're guilty of something, that's why you're like this," I shook my head.
"My spouse is a terror. When I hear her enter the room, I'll get your things downstairs, then I'll come up, and we can start doing our homework and talking about what we need to discuss. Then around 6 pm, she enters her room, so you can leave, and I'll just drive you home," she nodded.
I heard the sound of Sanya's door opening, a sign that she entered her room.
I slowly opened the door to my room and peeked inside, there was no one. As I stepped out, someone coughed and grabbed my ear.
"Who's with you here? Did you think I wouldn't hear you whispering?"
"Ouch! Sanya, what's wrong?" I removed her hand from my ear and saw that she crossed her arms. I noticed Selena leaving my room, putting her hand to her mouth. Sanya looked at her.
Is what I saw real? Sanya seemed sad when she saw Selena, but why?
"I-Is she Mr. Zhymian's wife?" Selena asked nervously, she probably knows Sanya.
"And you?" Sanya asked, her face turning cold and stern towards Selena.
"Selena Tora, I'm her partner in English class because we need to talk about-"
"I don't care. I don't have any interest in your conversations. I just asked who you are," Sanya said.
"Well, I can't believe it because in school, don't you have a reputation as a man-hater, a bitter mean girl, you and your group, right?" Sanya approached her.
"Well, if you don't want us to tease you, you'll keep what you know about us a secret. Do we agree?" Sanya asked, circling around Selena.
"And you, why did you bring her here?" she shouted at me, as always.
"What's it to you? It's my house too," I said to her.
"Yes, it's your house, but don't we have an agreement?" She approached me, getting too close, as if she was absorbing all the air around.
Just a while ago, I felt like punching her, but now I wanted to punish her in a different way, not physically.
I just stared at her, and for the first time, I was surprised when she closed her eyes and avoided looking at me. It was as if she was possessed, and then her gaze returned to Selena.
"Be careful with her, okay? Sorry for the trouble," Sanya said. Why does her anger disappear so quickly with other people? She's not as bad as when she's with me. I wonder why that girl makes my blood boil.
"Let's go downstairs. She already saw us, and you know our secret," I said to Selena.
"No wonder you were like that earlier. It's a secret. If the whole campus finds out-" The door to Sanya's room opened, and she peeked. She stared at Selena as if she wanted to devour her alive.
"What did you say?" she asked Selena.
"Ah, um, nothing. I just said that if the campus finds out, there'll be trouble, but they won't, I won't say anything," Selena said, zipping her mouth shut. Sanya smiled at Selena. Why doesn't she smile at me like that?
"Let's go downstairs," I said to Selena.
"You're lucky to have Chrissanya Evangelista as your wife," I shook my head.
How did that happen? Does this girl even know what she's saying?
Sanya is the most difficult person to get along with, so I'm the unluckiest guy because I'm the one in this position right now.
Sanya...I went down the stairs and saw that my husband's classmate was already leaving. It's really annoying because this idiot is the reason why someone in school already knows that he is my husband. Did I forget to mention that he's an idiot? It's true though. Seriously, this guy is beyond foolish. There are plenty of places he could have taken that girl, there's even a library for studying, but he chose to bring her here."Hey! Check the bathroom, you might have left your brain there!" I shouted at him, he looked at me sharply. "What? You're looking at me like I'm the problem?"He took a deep breath and headed straight to the kitchen, grabbing a piece of bread there. He didn't even bother to answer or acknowledge me, so my eyes narrowed and I immediately followed him, giving him a flick on the ear. "Ouch! What's your problem?""Do you want to get beaten again?""What's your problem?""Didn't I ask you why you brought th-that-""She's my groupmate in English class, Lena.""Yes, who
Adam...I was left speechless as I saw Sanya and the others walking into the campus. It's not surprising that they're here, what's puzzling is that they're accompanied by my classmate Lena, who seems to be one with them.I don't know if my thoughts were wandering in confusion, so I was startled when Sanya snapped her fingers in front of me."Daydreaming?" she asked while in front of me. "Why are you blocking our way?"She's mocking me again, so I looked at Lena. "Lena, why are you with them?""And why not?" I looked at Sanya, who raised an eyebrow at me. "Shouldn't you be the one to tell her who she should be with?"She linked arms with Lena. "She is one of us now, what are you being so clueless about? Move aside!"She pushed me aside, and her two friends followed suit, and I saw Lena glance at me before lowering her head. After Lena and I finished presenting our plan, we sat on a single chair with a gap between us. Others were still presenting, but I didn't pay much attention to tha
Adam... "YOU really made Lena join your group," as soon as Sanya entered, that was my immediate greeting to her. Why not? Even my new friend got involved because of her, and they're even teaching Lena to be like them. She smirked and crossed her arms. "What's your concern? In the first place, the person you were with earlier was the one who answered us, you guys should know your place." My eyes narrowed. "You're going too far," I approached her and held her arm. "What the fuck! Don't you dare touch me!" She removed my hand, and her reaction surprised me. "You're going too far, Sanya, you don't know when to stop. You and your friends are hurting people.Yes, I don't care if Lena's now part of your group and how that happened, but Sanya, you're a bad influence on her!" "And who are you to say that?" she raised an eyebrow. "You don't know us." "True, but that doesn't mean what you're doing is right. Why are you so furious with me? What do I always get picked on by you?" "Because I'
Sanya...I don't want to keep being stuck here with this annoying guy. He even threatened me earlier, thinking he could intimidate me. I am Chrissanya Evangelista, and I've never been afraid of a man, especially not someone like Adam Zhymian.Maybe others think I'm a really terrible person, wondering why I'm so angry with him. Truth be told, it's not just him I'm angry at, it's all men. I might even be considered a man-hater, right?I just want to distance myself, especially from the man in front of me. It's because of our situation - I'm married to him, and he, out of all men, is the one closest to me. Not as a friend or anything, don't get me wrong. I don't feel anything for this person; I just really don't want to be around men like him. What I mean is, my whole life, I've kept my distance from men.I dislike them; I hate their arrogance, their pretentiousness, their womanizing tendencies. I dislike everything about them. I don't have any brothers, and it's only now that I've exper
Sanya..."WHAT were the two of you doing inside the chef's stockroom again?" the guidance counsellor who was facing both Adam and me shifted her gaze back and forth."I've explained multiple times that someone locked us in there," I replied, annoyed that we were being questioned about the incident when we were the victims. Whoever was responsible for this would surely face my wrath, whoever that annoying person was!"Someone locked you in, or you locked yourselves in?" she countered."What?!" I looked at Adam, who remained quiet. Why wasn't he helping me explain? He's a grown man, but he's acting like he's mute. I wonder if I could pull his tongue out."I'm addressing both of you now, Miss Evangelista, because I don't want this to escalate to the dean of the school. So, right now, tell the truth," she handed her cell phone over and showed us something. "How do you explain these pictures, Miss Evangelista? Mister Zhymian? Come on, why were you in the chef's stockroom, and why do you bo
Adam...I heard the laughter of the students on campus, and I looked to see what had their attention. There were some naked guys running around, covering their private parts.Suddenly, someone threw mud and garbage at them, and some of them even got stuck to their bodies. We covered our noses and moved away from them to avoid getting hit."What's going on?" Lee asked me."I have no idea.""Adam!" I heard someone call my name. It was Sanya looking at me. The others also turned to me, knowing that our relationship was widely known on campus. I sighed and approached her. "We need to go to my house after this.""Now?" I asked."Did I say it had to be now?" She looked around, and so did I. Everyone's eyes were on us. "Just follow me."I followed her to the rooftop of the school, but I hesitated and stopped where I was. I couldn't help but wonder if this was some plan to beat me up, and I had just blindly followed Sanya. It wasn't my fault that the whole campus knew about our relationship.
Adam... SANYA closed the car door after getting out, but I didn't confront her. She's showing a different side of herself now, is this her darker side? "Oh, you're here," her Mom greeted us when we entered the door. Sanya didn't even kiss her Mom on the cheek and just walked past her into the house. I've noticed for a while now that she's distant from her parents, especially her Dad. I used to think it was about our marriage, but it's still the same, so what's the problem? "Hi Mom," I greeted her, giving her a kiss on the cheek. "Where's Dad?" She smiled at me. "He's upstairs. He just got back from work and I told him to come home early for dinner with you." "Work? Seriously, Mom?" Sanya raised an eyebrow at her. "Sanya," her Mom's voice carried a tone of warning when she called her name, and Sanya just rolled her eyes. Her attitude towards me, it turns out, is normal for her, even with her parents. "Oh, it looks like you're already here," a male voice called from upstairs, San
Adam... I immediately woke up as my cellphone alarm rang. I needed to get ready for school. It's Wednesday, and as far as I know, Sanya's classes start in the afternoon today. After having breakfast and getting ready for school, I peeked into her room. I saw she was still fast asleep, so I quietly closed the door. I wasn't very focused during the lessons because I was lacking sleep, but when lunchtime came, I couldn't understand why I felt so restless. "Aren't you going to eat yet?" I heard Seid ask, so I just shook my head. "I'm not hungry yet, maybe later. Just for a moment," I replied. I stood up, not answering his question about where I was going. I went to a spot near the school entrance where I knew Sanya usually passed by with her car. I found myself wondering why I was here. Why was I waiting for her? I considered leaving, but my feet seemed to want to return there and check if she would arrive. I was surprised when I ran into Lena. "Oh, Az!" "Oh, hi, it's you," she wasn
