Chapter seventeen

I woke up expecting to see Mel's bright face but was met with nothing but an empty room, it took a lot of convincing for Mel to finally let me sleep, they must have gone after I slept, I was hoping they would stay with me, I feel so alone right now. The door opened and I stretched my neck to see who it was, a lady in a suit and she was holding a pad or something I don't know.

"Good Afternoon, the doctor gave me permission to see you." Wait its afternoon already? For how long was I asleep. She greeted me with a bright smile on her face but I could tell it was fake, she grabbed a chair and placed her huge behind on it.

"My name is Laura Michaelson from the Save the female child agency," I just stared at her with an empty expression, what does she want? She should go away "last night you did something that almost took your life, you attempted suicide."
