We Are Even

{Leilani's POV}

I looked at the scar that's on my chest… I remember now. I know how it feels to be betrayed, Edgardo. We are even.

Slow deep breath. Calm down. And when I finally calmed down. I walked outside. The hallway was quiet so I assumed that Giovanni is asleep.

I walked into our room and found Edgardo lying with her on the bed. So I made sure that I stay silent.

I walked to bathroom and cleaned my nose.

“Are you okay?” Edgardo made me jump when I saw him leaning on the door frame. He chuckled. “…Yes. Why wouldn't I be? I mean it's only a nose bleed. Nothing major.” I say and he walked to me to kiss me but I backed up.

“I'm wet.” I said that and he raised his eyebrows. “Ahem… I mean I'm wet from… never mind.” I knew if I try to explain I'd make things worse.

He shook his head and walked back to the room. I cleaned myself and I walked out.
