Mr Antonio's POV

I sat in my office, sipping a glass of coffee as I waited for a call from my men. My phone buzzed and I picked it up from the table, already knowing who it would be.

“What's the update?” I asked the moment I answered. My legs were suddenly shaky as I awaited the reply.

The voice on the other end was hesitant. “I'm sorry boss, but we can't do the job today,” he finally said. His tone was laced with unease as he talked.

My mood shifted instantly. “What do you mean you can't do it?” I demanded, displeased. This was the only chance I had, or so I thought.

“Diego's men suddenly arrived at the hospital and are guarding Mr Javier's ward,” he explained. “It's too risky.”

My grip on the glass tightened and I slammed it on the table, causing coffee to spill.

“I gave you a job and I expect it to be done quickly. Not for you to give me excuses,” I shouted, my voice echoing in the room.
