He was about to enter a coffee shop, where he will be meeting with the person as planned, that's when the car blew up.

Screams started from everywhere. It was a massive explosion.
Marco stood there watching in disbelief and surprised at what had just been planned out. He could have been dead. So he called Bruno to inform him what just happened.
"Where are you?" Bruno said to him immediately.
"Boss, I think someone is trying to kill you," Marco replied to him, getting a little scared.
"What?" Bruno exclaimed with shock.
"The briefcase! It had a bomb planted in it. Two of our guys are dead. I left the car to go grab something when it happened," Marco said to Bruno.
