Zachary's face lit up with joy. "This is fantastic! Heaven has given us this chance, granting us rebirth. We're destined to be together again. Yve, in this life, I'll never betray you."

A man like Zachary, swollen with self-confidence, had never once understood another's pain.

I caught the glint of scheming in his eyes and smiled as I nodded. "Alright. You want to be with me? Fine. But in our previous life, you drove me to my death. The agony is carved into my bones, and I'll never forget it.

"This time, if you suffer every torment I endured before I died, I'll forgive you. When it's done, we'll get married, and I'll give you all of the Lawson family's assets. How about that?"

With that, I clapped my hands.

The door opened, and 18 vagrants stepped inside. They closed in on Zachary, one heavy step at a time.

Zachary lurched to his feet, terror flooding his face. "Yve, you're bluffing, right? You love me too much. There's no way you'd bear to do this to me."
